History has apparently failed you, but carry on. And, please reread my last sentence of the post you quoted. It's pretty clear.

Since Nuremberg, 61 people were convicted for war crimes in Rwanda out of 91 indictments. and 90 Bosnian-Serbs were convicted out of 161 indictments.

What do all of those war crimes trials have in common? They were losers awarded victor’s justice. Show me a “war criminal” whose country won the war or even just didn’t completely lose. Putin is not going to any trial unless Russia is completely defeated. Worry about that, not idealist fantasies.

Actually, that’s not true at all. Israel has offed more civilians in Gaza since 10/7/2023 than Russia has in Ukraine since 2/24/2022. It’s not even close. Israel leapfrogged them by like the end of week #2.

War crimes trials are a lot more meaningful if you have your hands on the suspect. That will not happen unless there is a coup and the new dictator decides to hand over Putin to the Hague, maybe to accelerate the reintroduction of Russia into international trade. A trial with the suspect absent is just inconsequential theater for the intelligentsia.

Actually, the numbers are too close to call. The Palestinians are claiming 10,300 civilians killed, and the U.N. is claiming "over 10,000" Ukrainian civilians killed. There is a huge difference in the two conflicts however. Ukraine and Russia are fighting with actual uniformed armies, while Hamas is fighting as a terrorist group and mixing with the population. As a terrorist group, Hamas is hiding among the civilians, under and around hospitals, etc. That is going to maximize civilian deaths. No way around that. The geography of the two conflicts is also very different. Russia and Ukraine are fighting along a 600-mile front. The Gaza Strip is a strip of land about 80% the size of the city of Tampa with six times the population. Most Ukrainian citizens had some time to evacuate to places like Poland when Russia invaded (if they chose to), while the Palestinians had very little time and no place to go (Egypt won't take them). There is also no question that Russia is targeting civilians, sending missiles into elementary schools, hospitals, apartment buildings, etc. And they have opened dozens of torture centers. I know you would like to think that Russia is a wholesome country fighting to eliminate the Nazi threat in their neighbor's land (because Tucker the Idiot told you so), but it just isn't true.

You’re only a war criminal if you lose a war.

In fact, that theater has become a major case of ‘sunk cost fallacy’ of the military variety for Ukraine. They’ve now hyped it up as such an illusion that to admit defeat and simply withdraw would be a major blow to their prestige and morale. So at this point, despite suffering catastrophic losses, they are forced to ‘keep up appearances’ by feeding an endless train of meat into the grinder, as victims of their own overspun propaganda.

Remember when, in the early months of the conflict, Amnesty International found that Ukraine was fighting in a way as to put civilians at risk, then was shamed and bullied into walking the observations back ?

Nobody does propaganda like the West.

LOL at the types who j*** off at every fire in Moscow. Moscow is a city of 20 million. There are probably more people living in Moscow than are living in the whole of Ukraine today.

You should stop spreading misinformation. I think you are unintentionally conflating deaths of "women and children" in Gaza to civilian death tolls in Ukraine. The number of dead civilians in Gaza is close to 15,000. And of course, you gloss over the fact that Gaza has only been roaring for about 6 weeks, whereas we are approaching 2 years in Ukraine.

People: “Russia is bumbling and facing certain defeat in Ukraine. It literally can’t get out of its own way. Just stand back and watch it fall apart.”

Same people: “Russia must be stopped! If it is not defeated who will it invade next ? Poland ? Finland ? And who after that ???”

Same order of magnitude. Not "it's not even close". It's close. And I already explained why the civilian death toll is higher in Gaza. Most civilians are in the line of fire in Gaza, because the place is so small and it's essentially one big city. A much smaller percentage of the population of Ukraine is in the line of fire. Ukraine is 1600 times bigger than the Gaza Strip, and it's mostly farmland. And fighting with uniformed armies does reduce the death toll of civilians. Those are facts. The duration of the two fights does not change those facts.

Russia continues to cannibalize its air defenses from other regions to try to defend its armies in Ukraine. Kaliningrad just donated S-400 systems to the Ukraine theater. This means that when Ukraine finally does get its hands on some F-16's, and decides to attack rear logistics and factories, there will be fewer air defenses available to defend those places.

Russia moves S-400s from Kaliningrad to compensate for air defense losses in Ukraine – UK intelligence

Ukraine is updating its air defenses around Odesa as it slowly takes over the Black Sea from Russia.

It’s like a man going to the doctor because he’s gone blind …

Doctor: “The good news is that there is a treatment that will reverse the blindness!”

Patient: “You mean my eyes will be opened ?”

    Doctor: “Yep!”

Patient: “Oh, then I decline treatment.”

An interesting article on the origins of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Spoiler alert: it had nothing to do with Nazis or Russia's fear of NATO. Russia was used to bribing the corrupt leadership of Ukraine to get what they wanted, and overrule the legislature (and the will of the people). In 2013-2014, this happened and protests resulted, called the Euromaidan. Eventually, the corrupt leadership was removed and replaced with leaders more responsive to the people. Putin had no interest in western Ukraine--in fact, he offered it to Poland in exchange for their support in taking over the rest of Ukraine. (Maybe Putin had a plan to take western Ukraine when he invaded Poland at some point in the future.) Basically, Putin was reconstituting the old Soviet Union.

Did the 2014 Maidan make Putin’s invasion inevitable
