Prevent offense worked to a T yet again … We didn’t utilize Max at all, who threw dimes early on… played ultra conservative after a stupid inanely timed trick play … 76 isn’t it … even as a depth piece … should have brought back the Line we played to close the Missouri game, that group looked pretty good

 

Thank God this season is over.

 

We could have had Danny Wuerffel or Tebow behind this line and they would have gotten wrecked as well. Young Qb plus bad oline = what we saw all night

Are you saying calling the longest developing play in the playbook with our makeshift line against their dominate d-line was a bad idea?

 

Tonight was about protecting Max. It was pretty clear to me that he knew very little of the playbook. We were only going to win by running the ball and playing defense. If Jaydon Hill makes that pick 6 we might be having a different conversation.

What puzzles me is that we kept him like a sitting target in the "pocket" like a sitting duck... instead of moving him and letting him run the ball in the 4th quarter.

This team played hard enough to win more than five games, 5-7 isn’t on them.

We’ve heard that the culture is changing at UF but is it really? I did not like what I saw tonight. We saw a player spitting on an opponent, (I hope his locker is cleaned out right now) and two players almost taking each other out to see who could put an illegal cheap shot on their QB. That’s an embarrassment to the University of Florida.

 

Tough loss. Billy your main job as of now is to keep the class and transfer portal. If that goes well then I can see the fan base calming down a bit

 

Even with all the mistakes, the players gave it their all and our D played inspired, even with some problems here and there, but the offense didn't hold up their end. The players gave it their all, but did the coaches? Especially on offense? I don't think so. And it is starting to turn into a trend.

Up 33-30 with 3 minutes to go against Arky. Outscored 9-3 to lose in OT at home.

Blown out by LSU in the final 9 minutes of the game 14-0.

Go into a shell against Mizzou and purposely shut it down and settle for a FG, Mizzou scores easily to win in the final 1:40.

And now FSU. Outscored 10-0 in the 4th and 24-3 after being up 12-0 and lose when their 3rd string QB is in. Our offense goes missing yet again.

Is this team any better than the first game or few games of 2022? It looks like the exact same team. No growth at all. Mistakes galore. Billy has no feel for the game offensively.

Just don't know what we're going to do. And now we have to pray our recruiting class doesn't fall apart.

3 losing seasons in a row. Good teams that are progressing start to win these games, but we are folding. Really, really bad look.

 

Yeah, until the anxiety of this season creeps back up again. Have you seen next seasons schedule? is it safe to say Napier probably only has one more season left here in Gainesville? I’m probably gonna need to start some type of therapy before next season.

There has been an example of and often more of these baffling decisions in every game of his tenure.

 

I think the only good thing about this year is the experience this young team gained. This team could very well have been 7-5 or 8-4. We all know the reasons why that did not happen: inexperience, immaturity, questionable play calling in critical situations, lack of discipline, etc.
The thing is that CBN is a very good person and trying to build the program the right way, but you need winning seasons and continuous improvement to keep players from leaving and recruit well. That is not currently happening and is going to be tougher next year with a brutal schedule.
