The kids, again, played their tails off . . . this time against the #5 team in the country! The defense really showed-up and Florida had the lead for most of the night until a late FG made the score 16-17. Florida's O-Line just couldn't protect Max Brown when they needed to most and the offense went backwards (giving up a sack) and 3-and-out late in the 4th with a score needed badly. After the other team got it back . . . another questionable flag for when their QB ran and slid and got hit by two Gators and it was ruled targeting, although hit with the shoulder . . . but the second Gator ejected tonight. Anyway, so the Gators got another heart-breaking loss to end the season.
I just hope FSU is nowhere near the play offs due to this rather underwhelming performance against a young decimated team!
I think FSU actually is a very good team, as is Mizzou. Florida was competitive and frankly isn’t yet at their level. I feel fairly good about next season. Only a couple of starters graduating, probably hold the RS juniors, deep class incoming.
