Curious about "lost all his money" I looked for the source of his money. There is no money. There were rumors he had sued "The View" but according to various repoirts it is not true.

‘The View’ hasn’t settled a lawsuit with Kyle Rittenhouse

AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. Kyle Rittenhouse has not sued ABC’s “The View,” nor has any lawsuit been settled for $22 million, his spokesperson told The Associated Press. A spokesperson for ABC also confirmed that the claim is false.

THE FACTS: Posts circulating widely on social media in recent days falsely claimed that the ABC talk show had settled a lawsuit filed by Rittenhouse, who was acquitted in November 2021 of homicide charges after shooting three people during a protest in Wisconsin.

But Rittenhouse has not sued “The View,” nor has a $22 million settlement been reached, David Hancock, a spokesperson for Rittenhouse, told the AP.

Perhaps this is an attempt to discourage a wrongful death suit filed by the father of the man Rittenhouse killed.

The rumors of money may have come from an online satire site.

Originating from a satire site, false claims that Kyle Rittenhouse has sued and won a defamation case against ABC talk show The View, resulting in $22 million being awarded to Rittenhouse, have spread on social media, generating thousands of retweets.

Rittenhouse’s family told Reuters In November, 2021, that they had not taken such a case (here). The rumor had originated from a satire site that had previously published similar untrue claims. Rittenhouse was acquitted of murder in November 2021 (here) following a controversial trial over the fatal shooting of two men the previous year.

The View Settles With The Rittenhouses For $22 Million and a Formal Apology

ABC’s The View will compose a written apology to Kyle Rittenhouse and his mother, Wendy Rittenhouse, and deliver it along with a check for $22 million.

The Rittenhouse’s spokesman, Joe Barron, says the settlement didn’t take long and “wasn’t very difficult.”

Apparently, the show’s producers have been eager to settle the matter to get them away from all the bad press.

He did (and got away with) something that many gun-nuts in the MAGA sector wish they could do: shoot and kill a BLM protestor. That’s why they rallied around him and why some of them will pathetically support his memoir.

That’s interesting. I remember one resident righty vehemently insisting that Rittenhouse was going to make a fortune after his trial with all of the lawsuits he was about to win against the crooked leftist media.

Why should it be illegal to carry a weapon anywhere you want save places like bars with implied intoxication? What law don't you like, that defending yourself against felonious rioters is legal? That people can possess weapons and travel freely?

If you were within 100 miles of those riots the best course of action was to be armed 24/7. Smart kid and acquitted as all his actions were legal

Personally I don't like that police didn't equip full riot gear and clear them out by all means necessary.

Rittenhouse was not a "smart kid" and his actions were self serving and immoral.

He was a stupid kid who had no cause to "defend himself." He traveled 20 miles, out of state, armed with an assault weapon, prepared to commit violent acts against others who were causing him no direct harm, using the demonstration to vent his vile inclinations. His actions made a bad situation much worse. Whatever complications have been added to his life are richly deserved.

What he did wasn’t technically illegal. That’s why he got off. But that doesn’t change the fact that he crossed state lines to go white knight with his assault rifle for a bunch of businesses that weren’t his own nor were they even owned by people he knew personally. Basically, he went looking for trouble and found it. IMO, what he did was clearly wrong and his legal team utilized the flaws in the legal system to get away with it.

He should be free to travel 20 miles from his home any time he wants. Why should rioting felons be in charge of travel restrictions?

His actions have saved countless others from being victimized by the criminals he killed and saved taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Why should felons rioting in support of another criminal dictate a law abiding citizens ability to travel with legal possessions? This isn't sudan where militia dictates travel.

No one on this forum has ever posted or implied he should have been restricted from traveling. As citizens of the U.S we all have that right. His actions were precipitous and foolish in going where he did when he did. He complicated and escalated the situation simply by being there. He should have stayed home and let the Kenosha authorities handle the situation.

Rarely do you see the dunning-kruger effect so succinctly demonstrated. Well done.

Dude his claim of “self defense” is total horse shit because he intentionally put himself in harms way with the intention of retaliating against people who were neither threatening him personally nor any person he knew.

Thankfully it is legal to defend people whom you don't know, so we can lump this with other valueless statements.

By your line of thinking if my neighbor I didn't know is being attacked in his home I should be charged with murder if I come assist him. After all the attackers aren't personally threatening me or someone I know.

Does your 'neighbor' live 20 miles from you?

Only in your warped brain does that make any sense. You know your neighbors. That’s what makes them neighbors - their proximity to you. Traveling 20 miles OUT OF STATE to defend someone else’s neighbors is not defending YOUR neighbors. Get real.

More precisely it means people with limited abilities, knowledge or intelligence over estimate their capabilities.
