Kyle Rittenhouse has lost his money since he was acquitted over three shootings at a protest in Wisconsin, his criminal defense attorney Mark Richards has said. The 20-year-old is releasing a book that describes his life as well as the circumstances around his fatal shootings of 36-year-old Joseph Rosenbaum and 26-year-old Anthony Huber in August 2020.

Rittenhouse sparked uproar after he announced his new book, Acquitted on his social media accounts on November 20, describing it as a "story of survival, resilience, and justice."

Talking to Court TV, attorney Mark Richards, who represented Rittenhouse, said: "He is working, he is trying to support himself. Everybody thinks that Kyle got so much money from this. Whatever money he did get is gone.

"He's living, I don't want to say paycheck to paycheck, but he's living to support himself. Obviously, as his lawyer and somebody who I want to do well, I hope he does re-engage in his studies. But right now he is working full-time, he is living a law-abiding life and he is doing something that he enjoys."

Kyle Rittenhouse has lost all his money, his lawyer says

From Proud Boy to Broke Boy. He's probably drumming up sympathy so people will buy his book.

A 20 year old living paycheck to paycheck? We have clearly failed as a country.

Kid should be sitting on death row, not writing books.

I am against the death penalty but agree he needed a lonoooong stint in prison. Fear not, he’s criminally stupid and he’ll end up there eventually. Karma is a bitch.

Didn’t he go to trial? Wasn’t here acquitted? I guess some of you know about the case, the evidence and the witnesses. So much smarter than those that acquitted him…
At least he is working and trying to support himself verses claiming a disability and sucking the taxpayers teats.

Liberals can cry their tears all they want. Kid was attacked by a mob, threatened by a man with a gun and one with a skateboard trying to bash his head in and shot in self defense. I know some won’t like that .. but that’s what the court of law said.
Do I like KR? Nope. Do I wish he had never gone? Yes. Does that change the facts? Nope.

They don't care about facts. They feel he should be in jail, and they aren't good at coping with being wrong.

Sure. Difference is one was acquitted because the evidence didn't prove beyond a shadow of a doubt, the other was acquitted because video evidence showed he did nothing wrong.

Legally both are free as they should be after being found not guilty in court.

Methinks that video helped Kyle’s case but would have cemented OJ’s case the other way.

I’m not a fan of the guy, and think going to a charged event sporting a rifle is careless, and should be illegal. But best I can tell within the laws that exist, that I don’t like, what he did wasn’t illegal.

I would say it was definitely careless. In his mind he thought it was moral. I’m not defending him per se but the laws we have are what they are.

Imagine buying the memoir of a 20 year old whose only claim to fame is shooting someone. Grift on young GOP soldier. Grift on.
