agree. That cuts both ways and don’t need to kick people out of a restaurant because they’re wearing a “BLM” shirt or “I’m a Dear Leader Follower” ballcap.

Covid killed a lot of businesses. No doubt their restaurant saw an increase in customers after the incident.

He is taking credit. He posted about it 5 years ago and he finally got it shut down. The wheels of MAGA move slowly.

Yeah, I’m sure Covid, inflation and runaway rents and wages had nothing to do with it.

And of course the OP conveniently omits the part about her rebranding and reopening under a new name. It’s not like she’s filed bankruptcy.

Lol... yes, a successful restaurant needs to close and "rebrand" to make it "better"... Lol.

The owners will apparently be opening a new restaurant in the same town.
The Red Hen | Lexington VA - Facebook

Also considering that the decision to close their original restaurant occurred five years after Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her party were asked to leave the decision to close the restaurant is completely unrelated to that decision. If adverse publicity from that decision hurt their business to the point that the restaurant was no longer viable they would have closed their doors long ago.

Many successful restaurateurs rebrand concepts over time. Sometimes they grow stale, sometimes knock off competitors locate nearby and erode margins, or a signature chef leaves.

Seems unlikely they would survive a Covid lockdown and fail 3 years later just because of something they did 5 years ago to SSH. And magically still have the capital to rebrand, which can be very expensive.

    Not everything is about politics.

Example:Ford Fry is probably a top 3 chef in Atlanta and just rebranded one of his signature restaurants.

The restaurant kicked her out 5 years ago. Why is this news?

The restaurant was getting very good reviews on Yelp (and probably Google, too) until the incident with Sarah Huckabee Sanders after which the number of total reviews as well as the number of negative reviews increased significantly. Just a guess but a lot of those reviews were probably from people who never ate at the restaurant.

I think he was referring to discrimination based on factors like race, religion or ethnicity not discrimination based on the behavior or wearing apparel of a customer.

I’m sure he was, but it wasn’t what he said. Asking someone to leave your place of business is a form of discrimination, one way or another.

i remember this. I remember right after the event the diners discovered lots of roaches (according to the reviews). It was probably that.
