The war could end yesterday by Russia pulling their invading forces out of Ukraine. That’s it. That’s literally all that has to happen to end the “tragedy”. Go home.

Multiple mobilizations are said to have produced seemingly endless hundreds of thousands keen to turn back the Russian barbarians. Yet, the much-ballyhooed Fall Offensive was a complete failure. Now Avdeevka, thought to have been the most heavily fortified Ukrainian stronghold is getting summarily rolled over.

That depends strictly on the definition of Ukrainian victory, but I agree that things will continue to get worse for Russia in 2024.
