Whatever. In the end, you're still Missouri and will never get any closer to a national title than you will this year and will never win one in the lifetimes of anyone capable of reading this board. Live it up!
This. I can see being happy about not getting embarrassed at home by a team with a probable losing record when you’re supposedly a top-10 program. But taunting your opponent as if you’ve just accomplished something more than escaping humiliation is dumb.
Speaking of the gator chomp thing never being called I wonder how the league will handle the horns down for Texas.
Just an FYI, they will no longer be on our schedule every year. There will be no more East and West divisions
That said, I hope that when we do face them we are at full strength with a complete and experienced team.... and open up a can on them.
Florida should have had at least 15 fewer yards to attempt a last second pass. Their team came over to the Florida sideline, committed multiple unsportsmanlike penalties, and the game wasn't over.
It's my understanding that the SEC teams will go to a 1-7 model. So we will play UGA each year, and the other 7 will rotate back and forth. So no Mizzou, USCe, or Vandy in 24, but we will play them in 25.
Speculation from a writer. It's not a done deal- and I don't mean imply it was. But it makes sense. I did hear they want everyone in conference to play Texas and Oklahoma over the 24-25 season. So half the teams will play TX one year, then OK the next one. The other half vice versa.
How much do you want to bet that their AD made a "special" stipulation when they signed on to join the SEC that made the horns down a penalty... It's like that school to be worried about that kind of insult. The Gators are "only" original charter members and we get no such considerations about those taunting Gator Chomps by our opponents.
The other problem would be that their team was mostly seniors, so they gone to be pros at not football. Mizzou is gonna get wrecked next season by not us.
That link is to a 2021 article before Texas and Oklahoma even joined the conference. The 2024 schedule isn’t even correct.
Yeah, the same name they call their wimmens. When we had the pre-game "Say something good about Missouri" thread I didn't even bother to try. The state is a giant trailer park, except for St. Louis, which is a giant ghetto.
