We have some good kids on our team this season

Actually our 96 team had bunches of high character guys. Our OL, Lawrence Wright, many more.
Wright actually started a community outreach arm called the Wright stuff. Really cool guy.
So yeah- we have won with great guys before...

We do need guys with an edge, but I"m not interested in criminal thugs like FSU used to have.
Guys who were in jail or committed rapes/ armed robberies, etc,
I don't want guys like that to be Gators.

Clemson guys were not like that and they won 2x.

 

It's easy for people who HAVE character to understand why we have standards.

The ones who don't, they want to win at all costs with any type of players and coaches. (political leaders comment self censored).

 

Good player but people are insane to think Urban "needed" him to win championships. He could have replaced him any number of ways and it still doesn't change a damn thing about the fact Ohio St still couldn't score or even move forward after the opening kickoff return. Hell you could have allowed OSU 12 more quarters and the only score they would get would be from our defense getting safeties 2 points at a time. Lets not overestimate AH's importance on either fully stacked Gator championship.

Hell Hernandez isn't even alvie anymore and I just sacked Troy Smith.

Point taken but FYI Hernandez didn't even sign w/ us until Feb 2007.
So he wasn't even on our 06 teams...

 

The standard is about winning and competing for an SEC championship.

Even more to the point.. Urban had built a juggernaut capable of hanging 50 on anyone by halftime with or without AH. The defense could hold just about anyone under 20 also with or without AH. Ahhh the good ole days of domination. Now our defense cant hold anyone under 20 in a quarter.
