Based on many posters on this board we are going to face the shining example of rebuilding and portal perfection in Mike Norvell. The man I'm told repeatedly is the blueprint and example of what we hope BN to become. So, I guess we don't stand a chance. On a serious note, anyone who thinks we contain Coleman and Wilson needs to quit those hallucinogens.
I think they mix it up. They could play some of the bend-don't-break and shorten the field which was overall successful last night. The blitzes have to be executed better. Bringing pressure that doesn't get there is giving away a wide open WR most times. I'm looking for more situational pressure than passive. We'll see though . . . Edit: To answer the OP, Max Brown and the Gators come out ahead. I like Shane's post #31.
All I know is, this ISN’T the game to drop Princely into coverage half the time like he’s a darn OLB. Have him rush the darn passer every single play
Yes, sir, with you 100% I think on crucial downs we have to bring an extra guy , especially if they need 8 yards or more. You and I both know if we put it all together and learn from our mistakes and beat FSU. It is a whole different year honestly. What are your thoughts about starting lineup next week on the offensive line? I’m hoping barber and George are back, but I honestly would not start them. I hope Billy has a withitness to see the last group that was playing was by far are toughest in terms of mentality.
Certain kids look better in practice than in games. Conversely, others look much better in games than they have in practice. It's strange but it's a real thing. Same with groupings. Some mesh better and faster than others when the heat is on. The coaches usually don't get a chance to see that dynamic and go with who looks best at practice . . . which I would too . . . but I think they did see things last night and I also hope we see a few changes this Saturday. Edit: Shane started a new thread to discuss the O-Line at: Update on Injuries? | Swamp Gas Forums
Anyone have insight into Brown as a deep ball thrower? If we were able to threaten taking the top off that would create some opportunities in the run game.
the real question is, "Can we out score them?" The last 5 games our defense have given 35 plus. asking a lot from Brown.
He’s A+ in the portal and will have things lined up for next year. They won’t be as good but he’s shown how smart he is. How awesome would it be to be 11-0 and have two excellent seasons in a row.
He showed he’ll go passive when ( AA) when it matters most-4th and 17, rushed 3 and went beyond soft in the coverage. Watched the tape 3 times and it’s bad.
Right, who needs context? Clearly a conservative call on 4th and 17 is indicative of the entire demeanor of our defensive playcalling.
Yeah. I watched the replay and all I could think of was that Joe Theisman injury many years ago. I sincerely hope he can get back to his athletic ability after that. Seminole or not, I wouldn’t wish that on any player.
