Entirely likely, and a decent chance we finish with a worse record.

Next year is going to be all about seeing the silver lining.

not only running out of bounds, but was concerned about the placement of the ball on the right hashmark made the kick harder for Smack, I wouldn't have risked the handoff and had Brown run the ball to the center of the field or where Smack preferred it

Redshirt junior. Spent his entire Career at Missouri. That’s continuity for you. Hope he goes pro after this season

Agreed. He plays not to lose, plays scared. Thought the same thing at the end of the first half. Let 25 seconds run off the clock before getting off the first play. Nothing. Just let the clock run out. Then with the game on the line and a chance to steal a win away from home, he calls three running plays to set up the FG, once again putting the pressure on the D hoping they hold up. A strategy that has repeatedly failed this season. Not making money.

There could be a lot of tee shirts like this, like:
    85 yard QB run
    Don’t think it’s Napier’s style though.

Agree. Kind of like Sullys “yes I can count to 6” shirt.

I’m worried if he coached scared this year, imagine next year with his job on the line and the difficulty of the schedule we have.

Our running backs in general step out of bounds. Except for the game after getting grief for it. The Franco style.

Is it playing scared or is it analytics? (Don't ask me what analytics is. But I know playing scared when I see it.)

Not to downplay Mertz, but his lack of athleticism showed last night once you saw how effective a QB who can run can do for the O.

Yes Missouri didn’t have game film/prep time for Max Brown, but there was still plays where his foot speed beat defenders who were in position to make plays.

Oh yeah . . . some highly questionable calls from the refs. I'm still mad about the first down that was brought back after the play because they "weren't ready" or whatever the ref said, then BAM! a penalty against Florida before the next snap to make it 3rd and 6. I was talking about the play calling though.

Woke up and am still proud of the team. If we play like this all season and still lose the same games I feel like there wouldn’t be nearly as much noise about Billy. On to the next one, beat fsu and we’ll have some positivity going in to the off season and for recruiting.

    Go Gators!

UF football finishes 5th in the SEC East, again, after finishing 5th & 6th the 2 previous seasons. I honestly never thought that was possible for Florida football. Other than Georgia and Mizzou to a lesser extent, the east is not much either, makes it even worse. Now that the divisions are being eliminated, don’t put a current pecking order together that includes Texas & Okie now..

If we have a losing record again next year I’m not sure Billy survives which would be a shame. I think we’ll surprise people next year. If Mertz is back we’ll have one of the more experienced qbs in the league.

You can come on man me all you want but I want a killer on that sideline. I want a guy that hates losing more than loves winning. Guys like Saban and Urban epitomize that. When have you ever seen Saban happy on the sideline in game. Not saying that guy can’t be BN but I need to see more disgust when simple assignments get blown. These guys get paid millions upon millions so I don’t see the point in not being critical of them. I’ve been a Gator my whole life. Most coaches are only rented for a lot of money. (With the exception of Mr. Spurrier)

I hate Mertz got hurt, but he definitely lived up to wearing #15 on that play
