The media jumped the gun with the intense coverage. Next season that team needs to cut out all the noise and quietly go about their business.

 

I think the noise helps them. They sell out their stadium and they get national coverage. Helps attract players. I just took a peek and they only have 10 players committed. I'm sure they have an idea of how their class is going to fare and I'm pretty sure they are hitting the portal pretty hard again. They went from 1 win to 4 wins. Next year bowl game and maybe even better considering OU and Texas leaving the conference.

 

Relying on the portal is risky but they don’t have a choice. Year 1 is always the toughest for any regime, Year 2 will be very telling.

Having lesser competition may improve their record, this is true. But I don’t see Diane pulling top recruiting classes ever. They can pay for a few Halley rank recruits, but I’m not sure Colorado has the money pit with the big boys, or at least desire to spend that money.
