Post-Game Discussion: FLORIDA at Missouri

Yeah, fans' boards are full of fans (well, duh!) and they get to vent and act irrational, during both good and bad times. There is NO WAY this loss gets close to Arkansas. Merely the folks who complain one week that we lost because we weren't bold enough and then the next week say that we were bold and it cost us. The team is the team. And yes, if I were to get a vote, I would say "go bold and lose big instead of go meek and get a close loss."

But that is just me.

 

I thought we would get stomped. But we fought hard and had a chance. We have lost a number of close ones, and barely won some others.

Frustration sets in as we had a glimpse of hope followed by perceived blunders that we have seen over and over. Penalties, play calling, time management, take your pick. Sort of like Max not watching the clock and getting yelled at. Like we are used to running a fast paced O. The number of delay penalties coming after a TO or review? Details matter. The first drive and plays were a thing of beauty.

I sometimes get mad at a player in the moment, but that soon fades. Responsibility or blame always goes to the coaches, success to the players. Management 101.

Go Gators, it has been a long decade and I’m getting old.

 

The future is bright with all the young guys, but a special shout out to Wingo, who I thought played an outstanding game.

 

I found it curious that Napier chose that moment to show some fire towards a player's lack of focus.
