I’m trying to remember that final sequence on offense. We used a timeout, coming out of a mizzou timeout, correct? The only clock stoppage we caused was Travis stepping oob on 2rd, right? Did we end the game with any remaining timeouts?
Travis stepped out on 3rd down. I am not sure why he did but he did. We needed the clock to keep running as much as we could. Mizzou had just used 2 timeouts and on 3rd down he ran outside, still not sure why he went out of bounds? Not as maddening as 4th and 17.
This bears repeating. Early in the game ETN basically escorted a Mizzou defender straight to Mertz. I figured something like that would get Mertz injured.
I love Etienne. But running out of bounds and whiffing on those kinds of blocks suggests he’s not keen on contact. Not a good look going into his NFL showcase season. Hope he works on it because he has greats running skills.
last set of downs, brown scrambles to pick up the first on a 3rd and 3, 1st and 10, 2:24 left, Mizzou has 3 timeouts, UF 2 1st down - snap at 1:57, 4 seconds on play clock, ETN loses 1 yard -- Mizzou first time out 2nd down - snap at 1:52, ETN trips tackled at line of scrimmage, -- Mizzou 2nd time out 3rd down - 1:47 on the clock, UF lines up and takes its 2nd time out. 3rd down - 1:47 on the clock, Brown stretches' to get handoff to ETN and turns it outside, takes a cut and runs out of bounds. 4th down and 12 - kick at 1:41 -- Mizzou and Florida have 1 timeout left....
