You are of course right about JP just doing his job. But that doesn't mean that many Gator fans who don't remember the TD pass to Jabar in one of the great come from behind wins in the SOS period against the vols don't think of his as a Gator. He does seem to go out of the way to totally disassociate himself from UF, which is fine. But other UF grads are in the booth or studio who balance their "Gatorhood" and their professional integrity without snubbing their Alma Mater completely. I frankly find Jesse a bit dooshy myself, with the 5 o'clock shadow, the way too tight suits and the 6" tall rooster doo. And yes, he was the idiot who gave the wrong girl a rose and then had to take it back again, which went over about like a fart in church, at least according to my then wife, anyway.

Some of the reason he has no time is not putting pressure on the defense downfield. Nothing makes a line look worse than having 11 defenders within 7 yards of the line of scrimmage. You damn sure know Spurrier would gut these guys with the same QB over for committing that many people to the line of scrimmage over and over.
