He said depending on the situation. I’d clear that up before I’d judge the comment. However, that’s a comment that is rather disturbing thinking about how bad it would have to be for that to occur. Fwiw, I don’t think that’s going to happen. Also, are you aware we have CIA and other “drug” agents in Mexico at this time?

Adding that those politicians including Meatball Ron are appealing to a willfully ignorant electorate (Republican primary voters) and are extremely unlikely to actually implement the use of missiles against Mexico or most of their other absurd proposals.

Still would have been worth it, IMO. Especially the children. I’d be irate about Bibi turning down that deal if my kid had been kidnapped by Hamas. Not sure what significant ground they could gain in 5 days that couldn’t be retaken quickly.

Yeah, you’d think they’d have a none white baby girl poster instead of a walmart version. Relax dude. I hate Hamas a my wife is Jewish.

Hamas is more real than the Iraqi WMDs ever were. There were NO hostages tied to the WMDs.

I don’t honk they’re concerned about them regaining ground

Because they don’t want to give Hamas the chance to regroup. That’s why they want to use drones, so they can have optics on what Hamas is doing during a pause.

I guess I just fail to see what Hamas regrouping is going to do but delay their impending ass-beating.

End result will be the same. But the longer it drags on, the more potential for Israeli solder deaths

More potential for dead hostages too. I’d rather Israeli soldiers die than hostages. Especially women and children.

Of course it will be harder to justify the ongoing barrage of bombing once the Israeli women and children have been spared. I’m sure that’s part of Israel’s calculus.

Hamas is not offering all the hostages. Just women and children. Eliminating drone surveillance is an unacceptable term. Because Hamas will not keep their word.

Did I say they are offering all hostages? No. I even specified just women and children. Weird that you felt the need to clarify.

It’s still completely worth it to make this deal to anyone who actually proritizes getting women and children hostages back alive.

Hostage families put pressure on Israel's government

JERUSALEM, Nov 18 (Reuters) - The families of Israeli hostages and thousands of their supporters arrived in Jerusalem on Saturday at the end of a five-day march to confront the government over the plight of those taken captive by Hamas in Gaza.

An estimated 20,000 marchers, including well-wishers who joined the procession along the main Tel Aviv-Jerusalem highway, want to put pressure on the government "to do everything they can to bring the hostages back", said Noam Alon, 25, clutching a photograph of his abducted girlfriend, Inbar.

The deal agreed to tonight allows overhead monitoring of the pause.
