Very impressed with the team Todd Golden has put together this year. Much more depth than last season and will only get better as they get used to working together. Gotta work on the free throws and playing defense without fouling so much. But love to see the Nolie's get humiliated.
Hell of a first half. Team has a lot of depth, future looks bright. Happy to be beating fsu again, 3 straight now. Wont mention any of those second half negatives.
I had forgotten all about him. He was supposed to be a beast but suddenly he was gone. Don't remember why, but I think he had a decent career at Kansas State.
Man, a very enjoyable game. Tighten up some fouls and free throws and look out! Seeing folks take it to the hoop and play D, . A few folks didn’t seem to have their heads in the game. Overall Boom!
They were hacking anyone going to the hoop, the refs only called most of those on Florida. I guess the refs were feeling sorry for FSU not getting anything, not even hitting ft’s in the first half.
You called it. Wins thread on first page. We had about 8 minutes of flow in (first half) and basically started blowing them out in that stretch.
Yes, very interesting, even with foul trouble. Did a good job of rotating the bigs to limit exposure. Didn’t play small much at all. I’m guessing we wanted to get Pullin into the flow.
Golden definitely did a great job this off-season. Team has very nice balance and depth. Especially loving this front court, which has a little bit of everything. Samuel driving the length of the floor and doing a left hand reverse layup? At that dudes size? We haven’t had a guy capable of that since Horford. But all 4 of them in the rotation are legit, 2 solid freshmen that can give solid minutes, each brings something a little different. Obviously still need to find out who the “go to guys” will be in clutch situations, especially in the backcourt - and even in this blowout W we somehow managed 20+ turnovers. So definitely still things to tighten up the there. But this team definitely looks fun to watch so far.
