Suggestions for new offensive coordinator....

The scripted plays seem good. Then he goes increasingly conservative patterns to the old familiar plays. Ymmv

 

I don't want to start a new thread so I'll just pose this question here: Hypothetically of course. Who was our best DBs ans Safeties coach we've had in Gainesville, in the last 20 or so years? Who was the best our your opinion?

 

Jeff Scott is probably going to be hoisted up to save Dabo for another season. He is still the logical choice, even if he would now be "damaged goods." He is an analyst and not their OC, but still, Dabo needs to show that he "gets it."

And Scott would not hurt my feelings at all.

 

Vance Bedford?

 

O will look great next year with improved line play and Mertz in year 2 of the system.

 

He was a dual threat QB. His dad’s offense very much played to his talents.

 

And while we all grow tired of coach-speak, this is where ‘complimentary football’ term is accurate.

 

John “Doc” Holliday

 

IMO, he is still not impressive as a OC. With all the other issues we have such as Defense and ST, I want him to focus on that. Time to give up being the OC. He needs to be the HC and not the OC. There is no excuse for the Defense sucking this bad.

 

Dino Babers is a very good OC/play caller and man.
