Meaning more a play caller than a head coach?

Was always confused why Urbs got the offensive genius moniker when he was a DB when he played and coached DBs before he was a HC. The offense he was credited with was always Mullen's.

He coached WRs at ND, but I think he and Mullen came up with that spread option while at BGSU.

Should have said stated off a defensive guy. Played DB, coached DB's at a HS, the next year filled in on Earl Bruce's staff as the TE coach at Ohio state, then coached outside linebackers at Illinois state, then switched tomoffense and started coaching the QB and WR while at I'll. State. Then wr ar Colorado State for 5 years then wr at ND for 4 years, then on to HC at BG and future greatness.
    As a coach:

“Urbs” ? Do you mean the pathological liar Urban Meyer?
This is a bizarre thread normalizing like one poster said “a fundamentally dishonest person”. the same reason we didn’t hire Lane Kiffin.

I personally don't think we need a new OC. But if I was to pick one, I'd be happy with Scott. And he seems like a realistic candidate since he and BN have a good relationship and Jeff is unemployed.

But...BEFORE hiring an OC, I think we need to:
    Buy an OL
    Fire/hire new OL coach(es)
    Hire/reposition a coach for ST

Those are much more glaring needs, IMO. I think our offense, ESP if we shored up our OL, is fine. Furthermore, upgrading an OC will NOT give us more wins if those others are not improved.

If stating facts which I was doing, than you would describe his success as greatness. 3 Nattys is nothing to shake a stick at. I'm not sure our fan bases feelings about him change that.

It’s not happening. He’s a liar who has also made unfortunate comments about athletes being stupid in the south and became a nut job at Ohio St. The negative recruiting will overcome 30 glowing Netflix portrayals. Haven’t you read all the things that got crazy there and in Jax? IMO, in his lifetime wont be back at UF in any capacity. If he does, I’ll put my 60+ years of being a Gator fan behind me and move on.

What are you talking about? I never said anything about urban coming back. Lol did you actually read my post about him? All I said was I always wondered why he got the Offensive guru moniker when he played DB and started out coaching defense. Then went on tonlist his coaching stops prior tona HC. I'm pretty sure you didn't read more than one word on that post. You seen the name Urban and seen red and got triggered lol. I don't want urban back, I believe in CBN. Relax

The only reason I think we need an oc would be to free up Napier to do other things. Clock management and having the special teams more organized is a glaring problem. Napier is probably capable of doing anything we need him to do but not everything all at once. He seems to have too many sticks in the fire.

Thank God for the ignore button. I read all of your post. Don’t know what “triggered” has to do with me lol. Telling me to “relax”? What an insufferable jerk. Toodles

You started telling me that "that's not happening" that "Urbs" isn't coming back because he's a "pathological liar" that's all fine and dandy the issue is I never said he was coming back, I didn't even suggest it. I was posting his coaching history and how it started out on Defense and not offense. How you came to the understanding that I was advocating for Meyer to come back is beyond me.

On a positive note, BN has imo improved his play calling and the O is making progress. Just need the D to do the same.
