Jimbo Pittman there will be a lot more causes a ton of turmoil - will a current HC leave for one of those jobs? what about assistants? the next couple of months will be crazy
I'm thinking the portal is more about the silly season. I'm just hoping we don't lose any contributors.
It’s like seeing Christmas decorations in sept. Little early, but coaching carousel is upon us. Btw, anyone think A&M calls Urban?
Early shoppers: Michigan State Northwestern Looking to maybe get in line: Baylor Syracuse Pittsburgh Boston College Indiana
Gator Christmas list: O-Line coach - fired Arkansas coach - Sam Pittman DC - fired Baylor coach - Dave Aranda
The silly season is mainly about the spoiled brats no longer liking the old pony they got last year and so you want them to feel "happy" about your going to get them a new, "better" pony. It is getting prepared for the brat's Christmas season.
You mean whether they win (see Dan Mullen, ?McElwain, etc.) or lose (i.e Scott Frost, Will Muschamp, etc.), a football coach often gets rich just from being fired if he also has a lucrative contract still in play.
Doesn’t it sound strange having him saying they should be americas team for cheating. Some cheating is kinda accepted in sports. You can get on second base and look at a catchers signs but you can’t use binoculars and beat on a trash can. He’s trying to justify storing the other team and we are suppose to admire them for fighting the punishment?
I want the linemen more than the oline coach. If it takes Pittman to recruit them fine but I suspect it just takes more cash. Torrance isy going to happen every year, we gotta get the top linemen period. You can’t play Georgia and Bama without them. Look what happens to Ole Miss. Kiffy might be able to draw cute little X’s and O’s but they got mauled up front on both sides of the ball. Tgats not coaching, that’s my guys can kick your guy’s asses, no problem.
I think the guy who will be the most sought-after coach is Lance Leipold, and he will he handed a goldmine this silly season. I think a somewhat under-rated name that will end up popping up is Jeff Fisch. He totally turned Arizona around in a very short period of time.
