ummm it's not Arkansas?

 

Probably the best thing about Missouri is KC barbecue. The second is that the armpit of America, East Saint Louis, is actually in Illinois. So they can't claim it as their own.

 

Kansas city, KS is less than a qtr mile from Kansas city, MO. Just one other side of the river

 

The como area is pretty with the river and rolling hills.

 

Met my second wife here and have settled here longer than any other place, to my complete amazement.

 

The 5 days each year there’s pleasant weather in St Louis!

 

My dad was born in Turkey Ridge, MO in 1922.

My son Chris retired from the Army at Fort Leonard Wood after 22 years of service as an airborne ranger. He now lives near the small town of Plato in the Mark Twain National Forest.

My father-in-law was born on the south side of St Louis. Because of that he considered himself a Southerner.

 

I believe Calamity Jane was from Missouri.
