Been there a few times....there's more to the state than some would think. Beautiful topography, lot of farmland, historical landmarks and features, and many cultural interest locations. I stayed for a weekend at Big Cedar Lodge, a wilderness resort in Branson over the July 4th weekend in 2001 and had a wonderful time.....
The Saint Louis Zoo is pretty cool and largely free (general admission is free, but you can pay for like the penguin show the last time I was there). They are also REALLY into the Cardinals, and baseball generally, so those games are more fun.
I said this in last years game about Missouri, but it's still important in U.S history. They had the Battleship U.S.S. Missouri "The Mighty Mo", that helped win WW2 and was the host to the surrender of the Japanese forces in Tokyo Bay in Sept.,1945. GO GATORS!!!!
