Considering my political bent and recent voting history, Trump and his minions would consider me both a Communist and a Radical Leftist thug. I haven't voted for anyone with a R in front of his/her name since the 2016 election. And I've stated as such in my social media profiles.

As for blood poisoning, that phrase comes directly from Mein Kamph. Here's the English translation:

Everything we admire on this earth today—science and art, technology and inventions— is only the creative product of a few peoples and originally perhaps of one race. … All great cultures of the past perished only because the originally creative race died out from blood poisoning.
The phrase "blood poisoning" is a common phrase in white supremacist circles. If you think it's just referencing diseases, and not a nod to it's Nazi origins, perhaps you should just stick to playing with your dogs, stay out of politics, please don't vote, and stop trying to sound intelligent on message boards with a political bent.

this is an example of something I posted a few days ago. You are trying to bastardize the English language. You think the term blood poisoning is only synonymous with Nazism. It is not. In the medical field it is a diagnosis (sepsis). Your quote of Trump has Trump saying that the diseases that are being brought into this country are poisoning the blood of our country. I dont know what he is trying to say here.

in your quote of Hitler’s book, he claims all great cultures of the past have disappeared due to blood poisoning. Let’s break that down.

    1. what were the Great Cultures of the past?
    2. How did they disappear?
    3. What did Hitler mean by blood poisoning?

I don’t know of any great cultures off the top of my head. I can name some great historic civilizations like the Romans, Mayans, Egyptians, Chinese, Greeks, Ottoman Empire. Culture is very broad term and does not have a specific, limited definition. I can’t really think of any cultures that have died out, per se.

as far as cultures, disappearing, again, I’m going to assume Hitler met civilizations. Most of the civilizations I described above disappeared because they were conquered or became so big they became unmanageable.

This brings us back to Hitler’s term of “blood poisoning”. Based on his history and actions after he wrote this book, I’m going to assume this means mixed “race” people. Hitler was obsessed with pure Aryan blood, something that he himself didn’t possess. But even back in the 20th century, there really wasn’t anything such as “pure race.” The world was pretty homogenized by that point. Hitler was a madman, and perhaps he was delusional to think there was pure bread Germans. Many of the Scandinavian countries that Hitler invaded had populations with just as much germanic blood as those that called themselves Germans.

I will readily concede that my knowledge of European history from the 17th century and before is limited. That is not an area that ever really interested me. So others on here who may have more knowledge can certainly weigh in on this topic.

With that said, I don’t have any idea what Hitler meant by blood poisoning destroying cultures. But, if I were to make an educated guess on what he was attempting to foreshadow and advance is the idiotic notion that there exists a pure blood Germanic culture, which was superior to all others. But Hitler was an idiot because that notion was a unicorn, so feel free to throw your two cents in.

In summation, you and others (I assume) will try to tie “blood poisoning” with the Jews, but the quote you provided doesn’t really bear that out. Unique Cultures may have died (not really a great term to describe it) by homogenization and assimilation of multiple cultures, but not civilizations. But Hitler was the Godfather of racism so I won’t rule out the racial motivation behind that term. It just doesn’t make historical sense to me.

Thanks for providing the reference. It took 300 posts for someone to quote the source material.

My god that's an idiotic post. You don't have any idea what Hitler meant by blood poisoning destroying cultures? Are you really this ignorant or are you just pretending to be so you don't have to concede that Trump and Hitler were talking about the same thing?

you guys who try to stain other posters by tying them to Trump are both laughable and ignorant. For me personally, I don’t care if you want to claim I’m a Trump supporter. I have no animosity towards him. However, your attempts to put a scarlet letter on people by association is just laughable. But your ignorance really shines if you think my “defense of Trump” as you call it is about Trump. It has to do with you and others spewing out hate by making up facts, or even better, asserting opinions as facts. It’s about the bastardization of the English language. When you think I’m defending Trump, I’m actually defending everyone’s right, including your own, to express their opinions without being called a Nazi or some type of woke culture “phobe”.

    You’re welcome.

I must be really ignorant. Tell me what cultures have been destroyed in history by blood poisoning. You read my post, I can’t think of a single culture which has been destroyed. Go at it. Identify all the cultures.

the emphasis here is on cultures, destroyed, and blood poisoning.

Try doing it without bastardizing the English language. I’ll wait cowboy.

on your Mark, get set, go…..

If he hasn't already done it, I'm waiting for Trump to refer to all his legal troubles (i.e. his persecution) as "my struggle" (which translates as "mein kampf" in German). What a coincidence that would be!

As someone who claims to understand and know history, I can tell you, 100%, you are full of shit. As someone with a Jewish ancestry, who lost unknown amount of family members in the Holocaust, I can tell you to eff off. I'm putting you on ignore.

i’m starting to sound like a broken record here. I get that reading is hard for some people, they just gloss over the words without really thinking what they mean. If you want to engage in a conversation with me on this topic, you have to actually read what I write. You can’t just make up your own facts and attribute them to me.

Let me know if you want to try harder…

This is getting really weird. What do you think Hitler was talking about when he said:

Everything we admire on this earth today—science and art, technology and inventions— is only the creative product of a few peoples and originally perhaps of one race. … All great cultures of the past perished only because the originally creative race died out from blood poisoning.

It's really not that hard. If you need more than one or 2 sentences to answer the question, then there is something seriously wrong with you.

Anyone who thinks Hitler was using the phrase blood poisoning to refer to anything medical, and not the extermination of Jews and other undesirables is either an idiot, asshole, or both. Anyone who thinks white supremacists who use this exact phrase is referencing anything medical is also an idiot, asshole, or both. Same with Trump. If you believe he used this phrase for medical purposes...well, then you are an idiot asshole, and not worth my time.

I only hope there are enough voters like me that see the Fascist crap spewing not only from Trump's mouth, but his platform, and vote against it.

it’s getting weird, because I’m questioning you on what it means. If you can’t articulate what it means in two sentences or more, then the issue is with you. I explained my reading of the sentence I referenced.

we are talking about the term blood poisoning. Here it is as quoted:

All great cultures of the past perished only because the originally creative race died out from blood poisoning.

There is more to this sentence than the word race. You may be able to pull that crap off in an 6th grade civics class, but you’re not gonna pull that crap off here.

what great cultures from the past have ever perished due to anything dealing with race (not war). Rather than stomping your feet up and down and going into a full tizzy fit, how about just respond to my post and identify these great cultures. If you want to have a discussion on the topic, you have to participate in the discussion and not just spew out CNBC talking points ….otherwise STFU.

You claim that you're not a Trump supporter although your posting history indicates otherwise. Maybe it would be more accurate to refer to you as a Trump defender rather than a Trump supporter although that's just a distinction without a real difference. Trump may or may not be a neo-Nazi although there is a little doubt that his rhetoric seems to bear a remarkable resemblance to that of the German guy with the funny mustache.

my God, it is impossible to have a conversation on this message board with any liberal. That’s not what I said. This is the problem with you guys, if you’re going to have a discussion, which includes quoting another poster, or some book, you have to look at the context. Without context, you can just make up anything you want about what the words mean. If I were to say to my wife , “I hate you when you tickle my feet”, you don’t get to turn that into just “I hate you”. This is what you are trying to here.

I did not suggest that Hitler used the term to describe sepsis. I said the term isn’t automatically racist because somebody uses it. It could have other meanings, such as in this case, sepsis. Given the fact that Trump used the word “disease” in the same sentence as using “poisoning the blood” not the same term that Hitler used which was “blood poisoning” it seemed like a point worth making.

just because Hitler used a phrase in his book, doesn’t mean he owns that phrase, and doesn’t mean if anyone else uses that phrase that they are the personification of Hitler himself. That argument is specious and silly.

You gotta be kidding. You think Hitler couldn't have been talking about race (and/or ethnicity) because no great cultures have ever perished due to anything dealing with race? Did it ever occur to you that Hitler wasn't a very good historian and he could have been wrong about what causes cultures to perish?

It's really simple. Hitler was talking about superior races being 'poisoned' by inferior ones. Do you really not agree with that?

I do not support or not support Trump. I have not voted for him in the past, and there’s a very little chance I’m gonna vote for him in the next election. As far as defending Trump, as I said, I’m not so much defending Trump, as I’m defending people like Trump. At the end of the day, however, I really don’t care what anyone here thinks of my relationship with Donald Trump, or anything else for that matter. I merely pointed this out because it’s part of the underlying problem with the liberal side posting here. Too many people here are so close minded to listen to what other people say, or to read what other people write, in context. I have had many decent, civil conversations with liberals on this board and in general. One of my best and oldest friends is the most liberal person I’ve ever met in my life. He’s left of Bernie Sanders. He is the godfather of my oldest son. we have spent hours making fun of each other‘s politics over bottles of wine, and we’ve also spent hours having very deep discussions about politics and life over bottles of wine. Not once has he ever used the term “end of democracy” in a sentence.

did Hitler tell you this himself, or do you have some kind of reference point for this? Or, as I suspect, are you just pulling this out of your ass because you’re not capable of responding to my post and identifying the subject matters of the sentence that you’re attributing to Hitler. This is just unreal. It’s not like I asked you to do complicated trigonometry. If you want to have a discussion, then let’s discuss the quote that you guys are all up in arms about. If you’re not capable of doing that, then, again, STFU and let the adults talk.
