He'd rather criticize the people criticizing Trump's rhetoric. Then when you ask him what he thinks of what Trump said he says he doesn't know because he hasn't read it.

Was Hitler just a person running for political office that many Jews and other undesirables opposed? How did that work out for them in the end?

What you call hyperbole, I call drawing direct parallels from history. And I'm a firm believer that if we don't learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it. Tell me, how am I supposed to feel when a candidate for POTUS uses direct quotes and phrases like "blood poisoning" and "vermin" that Hitler used 100 years ago?

Trump was very close to ending democracy last time. What might have happened if someone like Raffensburger in Georgia, or Bowers in Arizona weren't loyal to the Constitution. And instead, they were loyal to Trump? Think Trump makes the same mistakes next time? Or like others who had a failed first insurrection, do they learn, adjust, and succeed the second time around. Again, see Hitler and the Beer Hall Putsch for a history lesson.

And just how close were we from a true Constitutional crisis on Jan 6? What might have happened if the insurrectionists had gotten a hold of persons like Pence or Pelosi? Think that ends well?

So please, tell me, why should I remain calm? What is going to protect me and other "vermin" should Trump gain power again? Should I be happy if he does succeed and on a scale of 1 - 10 with 10 being my worst nightmare, Trump's second term is only a 8?

Trump is a Fascist despot in the making according to all historical accounts. I oppose him. That's not hyperbole. It's the truth, and if people are too stupid or willfully ignorant to see it, I can only hope more voters than not can see it.

Hitler did not run for political office as Chancellor of Germany, he was appointed.

Trump was about as close to ending democracy as I was at dating Christie Brinkley in the 80s. They actually wrote a song about it…

You have some other issues I am not qualified to handle. Self Medicate or maybe Trump Anonymous.

Trump is still not a fascist, Nazi or puppy kicker.

Hitler was appointed Chancellor after a series of election victories by the Nazi Party. The Nazis lose the elections, Hitler never gains power.

And not surprisingly, you deflect instead of answering my questions. Tell me to seek help. Well, I'm asking for your opinion. How am I supposed to feel when a serious candidate for POTUS is using the exact same language and phrases, such as "blood poisoning" and calling domestic opposition "vermin" just like Hitler did?

I like to think of it as “correcting” the people.

more than 250 posts on this thread criticizing Trump’s alleged comments about blood or something and still not a single post with his actual words, in context. This tells me the BS meter is beeping really loud. I have to surmise that the majority of libs crying about the comments have not actually heard the comments themselves. LOL.

I have no opinion on how you should feel about words spoken by a stranger because the concept of having feels for a political speech have been foreign to me for several decades. I prefer to have feelings for things that actually matter, and strive to limit those to positives. Nothing Trump says actually matters to me. It’s political rhetoric. If Trump is elected POTUS there will be no drastic changes in our country. POTUS is a figurehead. The administrative state (Bureaucrats) run this country.

Overturning Roe v Wade is the best example of the same type of ridiculous hyperbole. People actually screamed and cried. Protests broke out. Violence occurred. The predictions were sophomoric and disturbingly stupid. What actually happened?

Democracy happened. People voted. Abortion is still available. That is the way it should have always been. That is a good thing. Democracy is good.

lesson here: see the positive, don’t dwell on the negative. Stop buying into the fantastical.

Of course the irony is that the Democrats are hellbent on cracking down on their chief opponent.

Here's Trump words calling his domestic opposition vermin.

“We pledge to you that we will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country that lie and steal and cheat on elections,”
    Here's Trump's blood poisoning quote:

“Nobody has ever seen anything like we’re witnessing right now. It is a very sad thing for our country. It’s poisoning the blood of our country. It’s so bad, and people are coming in with disease. People are coming in with every possible thing that you could have.”

The President isn't just some low level bureaucrat. The POTUS has been described as the most powerful person in the world. And Trump isn't just parroting Fascist leader speak. He has plans to round up and detain people, and put 50,000 of his cronies into positions of power that aren't beholden to the Constitution, but to Trump and only Trump.

I'm sure there were Germans and Italians 100 years ago who thought, "this could never happen to us." Just like you think today. How did that end up again? I'd rather learn from history. We should never let a Fascist dictator want-to-be ever be President. Historically, when people like this become world leaders, the world suffers. I'm certainly not going to ignore it and pretend it's not a potential disaster, because it is.

    Fixed it for you
Of course the irony is that the Democrats multiple prosecutors are hellbent on cracking down on their chief opponent on a former president for which there is ample evidence of probable cause that he has committed multiple felonies and is now running for same office in a last ditch attempt to save his sorry ass.

Trump talking about ridding us of Communists is ironic. His hero, the man he worships, Putin, actually IS a Communist. Oh, he can call himself anything he wants, but for the majority of his life, he was a Communist. Now he's just a general dictator, which Trump is okay with, BUT HE IS NO DIFFERENT THAN HE WAS WHEN HE CALLED HIMSELF A COMMUNIST!

The majority of the GOP supports Russia and its dictator. Yes, the party that says it will get rid of Communists supports Russia and its dictator Putin, a real Communist. Those Republicans certainly seem to want Russia to rebuild their empire. They certainly seem to look forward to Putin invading the Baltics and Poland, along with more of Europe. They certainly seem to look forward to the end of NATO. But the Democrats support Communists.....right.....

so which one do you self identify with?

    1 communists,
    2 Marxists,
    3 fascists, or
    4 radical left thugs

I don’t understand the poisoning the blood of our country comment or your concern. He seems to be talking about diseases as he specially references this. That seems to be rather inarticulate, but I don’t get the Hitler reference. How did Hitler reference blood poisoning? I’m not familiar with any such comment and I can’t say I have ever watched a Hitler speech since my German is limited to ein beer bitter.

How many people did the POTUSs before Trump, including Biden, put into positions? Looks like Biden added about 300,000. Are you saying Trump is looking to shrink the government and this upsets you.

I hope you can find peace in your Trump turmoil. I choose to play with my dogs instead.

"A Donald Trump loyalist came forward for the first time to bash him in Jonathan Karl's new book.

"In an interview with MSNBC's Jen Psaki, the ABC News reporter revealed that in his book, "Tired of Winning," someone who has previously not come out publicly against Trump dropped a bomb on the former president.

"He lacks any shred of human decency, humility or caring," the former White House official told Karl. "He is morally bankrupt, breathtakingly dishonest, lethally incompetent, and stunningly ignorant of virtually anything related to governing, history, geography, human events or world affairs. He is a traitor and a malignancy in the nation, and represents a clear and present danger to our democracy, and the rule of law."

These are the sentiments of virtually everyone who has worked for Trump, yet there are still people who don't see him as an Hitler-like and want him for president.
