There is a difference between owning a German Shepherd and regurgitating Nazi rhetoric especially to gullible followers who worship the source as if he were a deity. I should probably stop responding to your trolling and add that for someone who supposedly isn't a supporter of the indicted defeated delusional former president it seems that an inordinate share of your posts on the board are in defense of him or to use a term that you have defined in another post, a form of rationalization.

Assuming Trump has never learned anything about Mein Kampf or Nazi ideology, do you think the blood poisoning reference was his own and just a coincidence?

no, there is not….not in the context of what I am saying. Just because a bad person in history used bad words or even innocuous words or phrases which have been ascribed to horrific conduct does not take those words or phrases out of the lexicon of everyday language.

Hence the German Shepard, which is iconically/infamously associated with Hitler, is not and should not be pigeon holed as a Nazi Dog. The premise is ridiculous. Long before Hitler referred to Jews as vermin, that word was used for 100s of prior years to refer to things other than Jews. The premise that Trump was trying to channel Hitler is equally ridiculous.

as I said in an earlier post, I do not know what “blood poisoning” was in reference to in his speech, as I did not hear (or read) Trump‘s speech. Contrary to many people on this board, I don’t follow trumps every move. I haven’t really seen any of his speeches, since he was in the White House.

So context is everything. I really don’t have it in me to watch a Trump speech. Does somebody have a link to that part of the speech so I can hear it?

feel free to block me. I don’t give a crap. You’re still confused. You think I’m defending Trump. I’m not defending Trump, i’m pointing out how ridiculous some of the points that you and others are making about him are. The rhetoric is beyond the pale. The constant attempts to bastardize the English language, or my favorites…”It’s beyond dispute…” or “It’s clear that…”

if it was so clear or beyond dispute, there would be no reason to have this debate board. Lol.

serious question. Do you see dead people? You live in a house of conspiracies.

You’re bitching about someone who’s running for president and wants to put people who align with his ideology into office. Tell me how that is different from any other president that has ever been elected in the United States in the last 150 years. Do you really think Trump’s going to get elected, and then appoint RBG to the Supreme Court. My God !

The fact is that Trump made a truly ugly and unAmerican vow. Our resident conservatives can try to dismiss it all they want by talking around it. But they won't actually deal with what he said.

Not going to block you (I actually find your unintentionally comedic posts rather humorous). Just saying that for someone who claims that he is not defending Trump you sure seem compelled to respond to criticisms of him. Seems that in the case of Trump your actions speak louder than your words (metaphorically of course).

What are you talking about?? Did you read the first line and then exit? Have you read Project 2025?
You obviously get your talking points from Newsmax or something. I gotta say, the mental gymnastics to explain away the constant barrage of trumph bs is worthy of the olympics.

I have NEVER seen a presidential candidate so flawed and dangerous as tumph. He only wants to be president to get revenge. I have NEVER seen a president who cozied up to Putin! He weakens us by weakening our system of government. He wants to be the leader, not the president. He could do irreparable damage, but you and your buddies don't care. I can't for the life of me figure out why. You'll change your tune if he gets in there. By then it will be too late. We'll all blame you trumph lovers for it.

I had a German Shepherd. A dog is only as good as its owner, and I don't equate dog breeds with their owners. Heck, our own military and police use German Shepherds because they are smart, well behaved, and very good at what they do. I judge people not on what pets they may or may not own, but on the content of their character, which includes their words.

Trump's words speaks volumes, and not in a good sense. He is literally using the same phrases in the same context as Hitler. He is painting his domestic political enemies as vermin, and saying people who don't look and think like him are poisoning the blood of the country. How else am I supposed to interpret this other than Trump going full Fascist?

Again, I hope one day, if Trump does gain power again, he doesn't turn his attention on you and yours. And I hope people who do see this as the danger it truly is rise up and defeat him before this ever becomes a national, disgraceful problem.

whatever you say. I can’t stop you from doubling down on being wrong. You liberals here are so damn close minded. You all think every peg fits in a round hole. Once you are mind set on a fact, which you perceive to be true, but for which there is no evidence of truth, you’re not going to let your “truth” go, even if the actual real truth were to smack you upside the head.

blah blah blah. Here we go again…”I have never seen a presidential candidate so [blah blah blah] as Trump. You need to change the needle on your record player…it’s getting old.

Oh, and I don’t have talking points…..talking points have me.

Out of curiosity, were you this outraged at Biden when he claimed Barack Obama was the first mainstream black person to be clean? Is he a fascists? Hilary called 30 million Americans deplorable. Is she a Nazi?

simpler question: if you call somebody a Nazi in order to demonize them, when in fact they are not a Nazi, does that make you a Nazi?

Well he is, and you for some reason just don't see it. You know how to crack open a coconut you have to keep hitting it? It's kind of like that around here. So you have no control? Gotcha.

Did you know that Obama is still president? Trumph keeps telling people he is.

Ya'll have a good one., peace out.

the deep, factual complexity of your response reminds me of my daughter when she was 2 years old trying to explain to me why she had to have a baby sloth.

    This was her primary argument

If it quacks like a duck...Hitler called his domestic enemies vermin during speeches. Trump has now done the same. Hitler referenced blood poisoning when talking about people who he felt were unclean residing in Germany. Trump has done the same about people in the US. There's more, but these are the most recent examples.

And Trump doesn't apologize; instead he doubles down on the rhetoric. Biden apologized for his statement on Obama. And this isn't the only racist incident in Biden's past, but I believe he can and has learned and grown from his past statements. As for Hillary? It's more than 30 million Americans who support and voted for Trump. I tend to agree with her statement.

But the difference between someone like myself and Trump? I believe there is a place in this country for everyone. I believe everyone can learn and grow and realize that fellow Americans with different opinions aren't vermin to be exterminated. And if we try hard enough, we can find common ground and everyone can benefit.

How am I supposed to feel when Trump calls liberals like myself vermin? Especially knowing that I had relatives living in Poland and Hungary that were considered vermin by Hitler and the likes, and didn't survive Hitler's regime?

That explains it then. You should try to read what Trump said, since that's what we're talking about. Trump speaks at a 4th grade level, so there shouldn't be too many big words in there.
