Relative to the enjoyment I get from seeing live music I think tickets were very underpriced for years and years. Now that artists don’t make money from recordings anymore the pendulum has swung hard the other way - especially post covid.

Man...the biggest 'what if' of them all, imo. I love Buffett (always think of them together since they're both in every beach comer's collection--certainly Legend and Songs you Know by Heart), and can't help but marvel at what could have been, had Marley had 4 more decades...

Hell, even one or 2 more...

Deja Vu is a nearly perfect record. I’ve listened to that album a billion times.

I've always really liked The Drifters, which was mentioned above. Didn't know they were in the Hall of Fame and can be considered rock and roll. So then I looked up a few and apparently The Four Tops, The Temptations, and Martha and the Vandellas are in there, too! Here I thought I knew so little rock and roll but apparently I've just been defining it too narrowly all these years!

The rock and roll hall of fame has a very very very lose definition of Rock and Roll
    It's basically just all music

I think basically any classic R&B act can be considered "rock and roll." But those lists are too hard to do for me if I have to factor in Prince, James Brown, Aretha or all the Motown/Stax artists. I guess I'm saying I believe in (musical) segregation. :)

I threw technical considerations out the window. Straight memories--bon fires, the beach, friends, parties. concerts...

Hence AC/DC and Jimmy Buffett, on the same (my) list--while obvious all time greats like the Stones/Beatles were not.

If we are including Soul the swampers would be at the top of my list of bands.

Huge fan here. Everlong is one of my all time favorite songs. The acoustic version might even be better than the original. (fun to play too once you have the riff and the rhythm down)
