OK, and? Let's get him experience.
The other long TD run by Daniels showed a half a$$ed effort by Marshall.

I'm not sure who has given up more long TD catches this year, Marshall or Kimber.

Doing what you've always done and hoping for a different result is insane.

we not paying Billy $7+ mill a year to be a “pretty good coach”.

That’s Iowa and Kirk Ferentz status

took the words out of my mouth. I got one even better…how about Butch Jones?

Had all the talent in the world and couldn’t do anything memorable with it.

I highly suspect that aTm and/or the Texas Board of Regents would not let him "Jimbo up" things, and when forced to lead a somewhat clean program his magic powers largely disappeared.

Maybe you need to look at the list again. I was being quipsy with my use of "pretty good coach. The list is loaded of HOFers.

yea i know lol. That’s kinda my point; that’s a SMALLLLL list to think CBN gonna eventually become one of those coaches. We will see. Just keep loading up on defense and tweak the staff room and process

Player factors such as talent (inherent (5*) and/or program experience), cohesiveness/culture, leadership have to be there for coaching to be successful. I think Jimbo had those at fsu, but the last two were lacking at TAMU.

I’m saying they are getting experience…especially JaKeem. He’s in the regular rotation. Dijon is getting reps on special teams.

I get that most fans think the devil you don’t know is better than the devil you know, but if these guys are good enough, they would play. It’s not like we aren’t leading the nation in freshmen playing time or anything.

Who cares until the recruits are signed? No point in trying to evaluate until then.

Well… I feel like most everyone has cared until they start decommiting. all I’ve heard is “wait til Napier gets his guys, look at what an amazing recruiter he is… gotta hang on to that class” etc etc
Then when they decommit it’s all “it doesn’t matter… if they don’t wanna be gators we don’t want them “ etc etc

If fsu is your poster child for portal success, then you have to admit their QB is the engine that makes their machine hum and the biggest portal additions were 2 bolt on receivers. Yes they landed them but all the other players are lost in a 3 loss season without their 6th year magic man Travis.

    Thoughts?

Right, and the haters do the same but in reverse. Flips happen in both directions, no real evaluation can happen until the class is signed.

Pretty good math there. Maybe we will add some more. We will be hitting the portal regardless if there’s anyone at UF with common sense. My guess is there’s a brainiac or two involved.

I don’t understand schemes all that well but to me it looks like a bunch of inexperienced guys. Marshall and Kimber are seasoned guys though. When one guy in the secondary makes the wrong choice, people end up in pursuit. To me , many times it looks like safeties bite on exactly what tge route intended creating broken coverages. They have to learn zone but it seems sometimes it would be more affective to just man up and use pure skill.
