Of course he was fired at usc but I guess my point is that it appears Kiffy who I can’t stand, by the way, looks like he not the same coach at all and could likely be a problem if given the keys to an upper echelon team. He ran out the back door on Tennessee after one season also. I have no intention of rewriting the obvious history, I just think usc is kinda ancient history in his career. He’s still a douche though
Max didn’t land a #1 and the way his season was going that class wasn’t going to hold up and be a number 1 class. So that doesn’t count.
That was weak. Really did not need all the spin about Lame Kiffin. But I will give you a bit of credit for at least starting the post admitting you were wrong.
Spread out over 8yrs makes this doable, basically a bit less than $10mil per. Jimbo Fisher buyout: Why Texas A&M will be paying off dismissed coach's contract through 2031
If only to win games don’t you think kiff has grown exponentially as a coach. I don’t think usc has much relevance at this point is all. That’s four jobs ago. Mullen is fresh off a disaster. What I was originally speaking on was they are not the same . Kiff did fail years ago as a very young coach but the two are at very different points in their career. And you’re right, I was not even thinking of the Tenn usc debacle.
The only place Kiffin has succeeded at winning games has been as an assistant. He has been a huge failure as a head coach everywhere he has been. He had the opportunity to take a step as a head coach that wins big games last night and failed again.
Damn. Is that the sweet smell of testosterone in the air? Nothing better than Gators arguing over former coaches and Lane Kiffen. Who I need to f up? Lemme at em!!!
Fau or fiu or whatever that school was he did decent and as ol miss goes, seems to be doing a fine job to me. No one expects that any coach can make ol miss a true contender. They were just completely outclassed. My guess is he will have another shot at the bigtime at the end of every year if he continues to win 8+ games where he’s at.
Nope. What I'm saying is each coach after Meyer used the previous regime's players and did well until they were gone. Napier will be the 1st to bring in his own players while not feasting on Mullen's recruits for 2 years.
Post rehab at Saban’s, he went 26-13 at FAU and currently 31-15 at Ole Miss. He’s learned a few things this go ‘round is the consensus I’m thinking.
Can we get the Jets D coordinator “I only ask them to do 3-4 things so they don’t have to think too much and just go fast”.
What is jimbos staffs buyout? And the coach who they may want to hire buyout from his other Contract with whatever team? And then the cost of his actual contract with new team? Plus any staff members he may with to bring buy out. This contract/firing/ buyout mess gets freaking expensive. This amount would make any athletic dept./university feel.it in the pockets a little bit. That's just a large amount of money added on to a presumably larger amount of money they will have to already pay the coach and new staff. And even then, who can really guarantee success? They just hired /fired one of only 5 active HC (4 now) to have a natty in CFB.
I’m not the same person I was 20 years ago in a lot of ways. I tend to give Kiffy a break on young and dumb. Hard to say he hasn’t done a good job at FAU and then Ole Miss.
