Ukraine destroys another Russian ammo depot with drones, this one in Nova Kakhovka. Several trucks were also destroyed.

Nothing you say or link can change the fact that this war has been an absolute disaster for Putin and Russia, if Putin is even alive right now, which he may not be. It's tragic that the average Russian has had to suffer as much as they have under Putin's delusionary invasions, but it seems to be what they are willing to accept.

It is disturbing that an American is cheering for Russia to win this war, but that's just who you are. It's America's fault that you are not as successful as you would like to be, and therefore it makes sense (to you) for you to cheer America's enemies in their bids for global conquest. Any (or all) of that ring a bell?

ISW muses about why Russia has to rely on infantry-led frontal assaults that result in such large numbers of Russian casualties. Apparently, Russia has had a lot of heavy equipment destroyed, and has troops severely lacking in proper training for combat. They are also running out of special forces units, because they were using them for frontal assaults earlier in the war.

ISW analyses why Russia has to rely on infantry-led frontal attacks (yahoo.com)

LSU is better than we are. But that doesn’t mean I’m rooting for it.

Russia's minimal gains in Avdiivka have come at a great cost. According to Ukraine, in the last month Russia has lost:

    10,000 troops
    7 Su-25 aircraft
    100 tanks
    100 artillery systems
    250 armored vehicles

Looks like Ukraine is doing a great job of trading territory for Russian lives and equipment. Russia will probably run out of people and weapons long before it gets anywhere near Kiev.

I wonder if Russia has destroyed its first HIMARS system yet. I guess not.

    10,000 soldiers and 7 Su-25s: Ukraine's Commander-in-Chief names losses of Russians near Avdiivka (yahoo.com)

If Ukraine isn't worried about losing a small amount of land in Avdiivka, I won't worry about it either. It is starting to look like a second Bahkmut for Russia. A few more Bahkmuts, and Russia will be finished.

The virulently anti-Putin Mediazona, in conjunction with the BBC, has Russian losses trickling down to almost nothing of late.

Takeaway on Ukrainian sources: when you’re losing, all you have is lies.

I suspect that somewhere between Duggers and Chem lies the truth about the state of the war. Which seems to narrow the realm of possibility to somewhere between Heaven and Hell.

We could easily give Ukraine 1,000 M-1 tanks and not miss them. I think we have 5,000 available for active duty, and 5,000 mothballed. And this is for an "outdated" tank that we are almost ready to replace.

Ukraine is pounding Russia's rear, according to ISW, and Russia is squealing like a pig. O.k., that might not be the best way to phrase it . . .

Just remove that image from your brain and read the headlines.

ISW: Ukraine intensifies attacks on Russia's rear (yahoo.com)

Also, Russia's navy has been "functionally defeated".

Germany says it will "massively expand" support for Ukraine in 2024. I'm not sure what they've been waiting for, but it's about time.

Germany's support for Ukraine is to be 'massively expanded' next year (yahoo.com)

You have to admire the irony of the Black Sea Fleet being destroyed, since one of the main purposes (actual purposes, not made-up BS like “Nazis!”) of this war was to secure its base.

Yep. Russia has wanted a warm water port for centuries. Not just for trade but for projection of power as well.

It’s gotten so bad for Ukraine that it’s sending pregnant women to the front lines to be killed or captured.

And it’s curious that, the worse and worse it gets, for Ukraine, the louder and louder the imperial boot-licking breast-beating becomes.

Did you per chance catch 60 minutes last night? They had a segment about Russia targeting/bombing museums, churches, and places of cultural significance, and looting them before they were pushed back to that pathetic little sliver they've managed to cling onto for dear life (say 100k give or take 50k) for some 2 years.

    Thoughts?

So it was Ukraine after all that sabotaged the Nord Stream pipeline ?

    Apologies forthcoming, I presume.

Is Ukraine hiding military armaments under them for shields, like they do with hostages?

...or is Russia being dickless assholes like ISIS and other such historical douchebags?

(Btw. Did you know that even Hitler actively sought to avoid such douchrbaggery?)
