2024 Offense

I think Brown and Miller portal out in the Spring possibly at the end of the season. Neither will see the field if Lagway is the real deal.

 

OL upgrades needed in the portal.

 

Miller more likely, IMO. I don't think Brown would go.

Hit the portal hard for O-Line and need another impact WR

 

If he is then he leaves the team to concentrate solely on baseball. As I said if Lagway is the real deal as his HS performance indicates, Brown is not seeing the field in any meaningful way.

Could I politely request a Defensive version too? Given recent events, might be more pertinent.

 

Offense looks good. Don’t see Johnson going pro so he will likely be back. Portal will grab a proven receiver and hopefully a day 1 starter at right tackle.

 

I thought Waites played ok especially given his experience. I've not watched film though. Slaughter might end up being the surprise if he works hard in offseason. George probably should think about G if he wants to make it at next level?

WR group looks solid. EW3 needs to bulk up a lot in the offseason. I think Douglas could have a break out year, if he can stay healthy.

I'd say a good 3rd of returnees on that depth chart will hit the portal, meaning we'll need to be in the portal hard for replacements.

 

Yea I’m hoping Brown stays. We’ve been hearing how well he’s doing in practice, but who knows what that means. Dude is so raw and talented, I think he’s capable of battling for that backup spot in ‘24 and in ‘25.

 

Can’t say I’m a Jackson fan. He struggles to get open and doesn’t have great hands with average speed. Can’t believe Burke isn’t better.

 

We need to see some transfers in some of those starting spots.

 

It seems like he dives too much for the balls that he should be running under.

No portal guys?

no way I cannot see (reasonable coach) us grabbing a big time receiver in portal to replace Ricky. No way we can count on Jean and Mizell. Jean either in doghouse or hurt ( not sure why passed by walk on last week). Receiving corps needs help immediately. I’d say 2 out of portal.

O line- will have to hit portal for an OT . Mertz sacked 29 times this year.

I also see Montrell back.

 

100%. No transfers at WR, O line, and Defense and I see 4-8.
