    After careful reflection...

Daniels was a beast last night and was a one man wrecking crew. He should win the Heisman IMHO.

Couple of other things. I've witnessed this over several games this year, we have a guy on "D" that waits to see if the ball is gonna be passed deep and doesn't stay with his guy. IMHO it is laziness. I'm not naming names, but if you hesitate because you won't want to 'exert yourself', unnecessarily, you'll truly get beat every time. I apologize if that sounds critical. I said this last night. We need more speed on "D".

But, overall the effort was great. We're just not there yet. We lost contain an almost every one of Daniels runs. Most good defenses probably would. The guy is like Richardson but probably better. Who knows?

The good news is these young Gator bucks are getting valuable time in and will have the benefit of a quantum leap next year. Next year, all I care about is beating Miami. Beat Miami!!!

Maybe an upset of Fl St at home too to end the season...

    Go Gators.:)

Oh yeah. Little footnote: Cole Kubic or whatever his name is...does he hate the Gators? Man the guy must be dating Daniel's...or at least has a huge man crush...

    Go Gators.

I like your reference to Spurrier. Remember how many defensive coordinators he went through? He won the one national championship because he got stoops to take over the defense.

You nailed it. That’s why I would really like to see us in a bowl game not so much for the game itself but for a little bit of extra practice and experience for these young players.

I agree completely with everything you said except enjoy the ride. Nothing about this is enjoyable, unfortunately. But I do think better days are ahead.

Good point about NIL. I tried to post an NIL listing here last week. It was created by on3 a sports analysis institution. Don’t know if their data is correct but they posted some eye-popping numbers for some players. You can check it out independently. A moderator rejected it. I think NIL is the elephant in the room and we need to address it.

I am confused. If you read my post in isolation then I could see where you infer something awful. But in response to G'head, I am merely responding to the notion that Stricklin is in trouble if Napier is also. And to the Ivory Tower talks, are you implying that next year we WILL go all-in and spend ungodly sums of money for mercenaries and that I will root like a silly fan no matter what? Sorry, but I am not that kind of person. I mean what I say.

I was watching highlights of NFL games a few minutes ago- Baltimore Ravens RB took the nadoff and swept left- several Browns seemed to have the angle but his speed made them look like they were running in slow mo- reminded me of LSWhoo QB last night

Best chance for a W will be Holes at home. We have to play much better to limit them on O. Miami played mostly zone and kept everything in front of them, and had decent success. Since our D seems to be totally confused most times, i would hope they go mostly to zone to contain the QB run and also to eliminate the deep ball. We would have a better chance for a turnover on the crossing routes.
It might be a good strategy to go with one scheme instead of switching in game, so our team can get a little comfortable and play faster.

Have to try. We don’t slow the game down and Cody Schrader will run for 250 against us Mark my words.

You might get gassed doing 75 yard wind sprints trying to chase down their QB. Needed a Jeff Demps sprinter playing center field and diving at the ankles from behind

    Don’t watch then.
All Coach pressers are coach speak, not worth the time dialing into it.

Why doesn’t Jamari Lyons play more. Only true Dog I see on our DL. I feel several have regressed while he’s taken a big step forward. Not sure what his south county is but if he’s not getting 25 to 30 snaps a game that’s disappointing with his effort especially when you compare what others are not doing.

Bates left after 1990. Ron Zook came in as DC in 1991. Gary Darnell was from Galen Hall's staff pre 1990.

The early 90s defenses had some major players. Tim Paulk, Brad Culpepper, Tony McCoy, Carlton Miles, and the best of all was Darren Mickell. Kevin Carter and Larry Kennedy were true frosh on the 91 team.

Many here remember the 14 to 9 game in 91 vs FSU. Darren Mickell and our D Line won that game. Anyone who was there remembers the stadium shaking. Good times.....GOOOOD times.
