Sure it is. He can tip it off his helmet, roll it on his tummy, cradle it in his legs and play hot potato with it if it never hits the ground and he eventually ends up with the ball before going out of bounds as long as ball doesn’t hir the ground. You don’t hav to catch the ball while standing. You can sit on the field and have it land in your lap sitting Indian style after the ball bounces off ten players and secure the ball after doing your taxes while juggling some apples as long as it never hit the ground.
