Agreed but Mertz doesn’t have much time to push the ball down field.

 

Agree…comment was made when play clock almost down to zero and we hadn’t called timeout

Better than I expected at halftime. And we get the ball first to start the second half. Proud of the effort in a tough environment against a really good team, for sure.

We have craploads of useless motion…even when there is an urgency.

 

You can't throw the ball, get an incomplete and stop the clock for the team that had no timeouts (no ability to stop the clock themselves). I agree . . . run-run-run . . . if we broke one then pass.

now, what does Billy and Company do at halftime? Do we make better adjustments than them? Do we come out offensively and put points on board?

 

Agreed. I think had we not come out and immediately had a penalty and were instead able to get a couple first downs, we might have been more aggressive with the 3 timeouts in our pocket.

 

True-but sometimes (when you are with your back to the EZ) it's best to put that "money" back in your wallet and save it for another series..
