What about Clinton, pardoned Mark Rich who was on the FBI's 10 most wanted list. Oh did I mention Clinton pardoned Rich only after he had donated millions of dollars to the democrat party and the Clintons. Oh but that is different.

I don’t know what that has to do with this MAGA scumbag who paid your boy Trump to commute his sentence and ran his own pedo youth camp.

Yeah, that's exactly what I believe, that Trump is such a grifting, greedy, corrupt, "I need you to do me a favor?", pay for access, smoldering piece of shit that this is exactly the type of scheme he'd come up with. Any more dumb questions?

And this is what Trump said when announced the commutation.
In a statement, the former president called Suhl a “pillar of the community,” saying he ran “faith-based” healthcare treatment centers. The statement stressed that he was only convicted on some of the charges he faced.

It's not my assertion, selling pardons for $2 million is something Trump insiders claimed was being offered through Rudy Guiliani, and Trump ignoring the DOJ's policies and recommendation on pardons sure gives that a lot of credibility. Rudy even reportedly told people they had to do through him and NOT to request a pardon recommendation through the DOJ ... if you can find any evidence that this is commonplace and other presidents "do the same thing" ... post it ... otherwise, all you got is wishful thinking.

I dont see them deflecting. At least not at the time of your post. Adding facts to the OPs post is not deflecting.

Trump is a scumbag, but the OP was lacking some context.

You got that from him saying the person should be hung in public.

I think his point was at the OPs love for religious threads.

Every poster in here is known for posting certain types of threads. I don’t complain when MAGA nation makes their usual “bash the lib” threads, so they shouldn’t complain when I make the threads I do.

In addition trump is big fav to win the repub nom and he still has many millions of followers. He’s a liar, cheat and amoral. He has a history of failure and many who worked with him were trashed. Maga better get use to threads shining a light on trump. Especially when there are better candidates running.

links can be provided that backs up above in spades.

Their retort for the past 3 years to Trump discussion has been “He’s no longer in office and he’s not a threat anymore, why are you still obsessed with him bro?” Now we’re less than a year away from the next election and this guy is still the odds on favorite to win their nomination and they still want to pretend like he’s not worthy of being discussed. If he somehow makes it back into the White House, he’ll be right back to his usual scumbag antics taking money to commute the sentences of the Ted Suhl’s of the world.

MAGAts don't understand comparisons. Their attempts are always asserting that apples and oranges are the same.

Other than the pardon/commutation of sentence thing, which are both forms of executive clemency, explain what the OP stated in the title to create a false narrative? Considering the amount of misinformation you generate in the Covid thread, your post teeters between irony and laughable.

It is your assertion. You have no evidence trump was selling pardons. No doubt you will believe any accusation if against someone you dislike…

Poster saw headline with the terms sexual abuse and Trump and was like yep. No care that the pardon/commutation was about bribery. Let alone Trump gave very few pardons/commutations. But carry on. You are just like the OP. Trump…

    Sigh!

You forgot to mention the Israeli prime minister along with other officials requested clemency on behalf of Rich and that Rich had assisted the Mossad. You also failed to mention two leading US law professors (Harvard and Georgetown) indicated Rich had committed no crimes. In your defense, however, you frequently omit pertinent facts.

BTW, I believe it was Rich's ex-wife that donated the money. In your defense, however, you frequently get the facts wrong.

Obama had a record # pardons because that admin had a broad program to overturn past federal drug convictions (some of whom were sentenced to life in prison for drug possession, over 500 freed from life in prison). Most of those people were only in prison because of injustice and because of being dirt poor and unjust drug laws. Highly unlikely Obama was selling pardons to dirt poor people facing life incarceration by the federal govt. You think?

I don’t think anyone would suggest prior Presidents were 100% perfect or didn’t have controversial parsons. I’m old enough remember Ollie North, Mark Rich, Scooter Libby, etc, and of course the Nixon Whitehouse. I think a few of Obama’s turned out not to be “nonviolent” on further review (whereas it was supposed to be nonviolent drug offenders). I don’t think in circumstances like that we’d want to blame the President for past pardons gone wrong. But i think when it’s a (likely) corrupt pardon or outside the vetting process, it becomes different.

The fact that you just look at the volume of pardons as comparison and immediately go “hurr…durr… Obama must have been even more on the take” just shows how little you know…. about… well… anything.

The issue at hand is Trump hijacked the process for Pardons, he cut out the DOJ review, and they were almost *all* either political stunts, pardoning crimes from his own political operatives, or from shady characters who seemed more inexplicable (which leads to speculation, if not assumption that bribes are involved). This guy was literally convicted on bribery! Can’t make that up. Also pushed by that POS Huckabee, apparently. That definitely explains some things!

As I originally said. This guy may not have deserved it. But the point I have been making is that the OP only posted this because the headline included Trump/sexual abuse/pardon. Take out sexual abuse and put in bribery. And this thread loses what the OP is going for.
