Head coach can't make any mistakes or I will hold my breath until he fired.

Ok I'll bite , even though your obviously not serious about not seeing post of Napier is not the answer, or we should've hired so n so because then we would have a chance or what ever other creative way someone came.up with to say we should get another coach like threads about CBN's buyout etc. I mean if no one is talking about replacing CBN why is there an entire thread about his high buyout? Who even thinks about that except people looking at what hurdles there are to replace a coach?

But I took a quick minute and hit that setvh bar for some simple key words: fire coach Napier and boom there ya go the thread was closed Soni couldn't add quite So i copied and pasted

It's a conundrum. Both sides are right here.I
    acknowledge that the constant hiring/firing
train we are on is a disaster for the program
which is already not in a good place. At the
same time I did not and do not feel like Napier
is the right guy for the job. So do you damage
the program by getting rid of the wrong guy or
damage the program by allowing the wrong guy
to continue to lose games? I am frustrated
because I watch our rivals make better hires
than us. When Alabama needed a coach, they
hired a guy who won a Natty at LSU. When LSU
needed a coach they hired the guy from Notre
Dame. When Auburn needed a coach they hired
a guy who took Ole Miss to #1 and beat Bama.
We hire dudes from Texas who masterminded
the first draft class in 50 years to have zero
players drafted to the NFL, who were doing a
fair job at Colorado State or who were coaching
in the Sunbelt and yet we expect to hang with
Bama and Georgia. It seems like there isn't a
solution to this that will not involve pain or be
the wrong answer to half the fanbase.

I'm quite serious. You asked, "If the whiners get their way, and Napier is replaced, how much of the class sticks?" That could only be a concern if CBN was fired after this season. I've simply challenged you to show where anyone on this board posted what you claim. You can't do it.

So, my requests are simply these: stop calling other posters "whiners" and stop assuming the worst about their motivations. Nobody here wants to see CBN fail.

I'm not the one you are referring to about calling posters whiners but I did do a quick search and posted a post that spoke about replacing cbn as you requested you just ignored it.

Also answer me this, if there is not anyone who is saying we should start the process of replacing CBN why is there a thread talking about his buyout amount? I mean there isn't many reasons or situations I can think of that would require discussing CBN's massive buyout. That's not even mentioning the bashing of SS for giving such a contract? If the thoughts of firing CBN are not being discussed then why would someone be bothered by a contract length and buyout amount?

First: mea culpa for wrongly attributing that to you.

Second: I didn't ignore your post. I simply found that it didn't call for firing CBN.

Third: I can only guess at the motivations behind those discussions. And that guess is: quite a few posters feel that, so far, CBN's 'process' hasn't translated into improvements in many aspects of the on-field product and he isn't giving indications that he is considering changes. They're worried about the consequences for UF football if things continue in the same manner. So, they talk about that. Just my guess.

But, just because they talk about doesn't mean they're advocating for it. Just my opinion.

The coaching carousel has taken its toll but the bad hires gave them no choice. Those coaches had crashed and burned when they were fired.

Unpopular opinion, but I doubt there’s going to be a 2025. The intransigence of CBN to correct glaring deficiencies in special teams and play calling strongly suggests he is not willing to make the changes necessary to be competitive in 2024. Assuming this ends up being a losing season (not guaranteed but increasing likely), I doubt we will hold on to this recruiting class. And, despite all of the talk of patience and a commitment to rebuilding, I don’t think the decision makers will be prepared to keep throwing good money after bad in the event of another losing season in 2024. Of course, no one would love to be wrong more than me; I would be delighted if CBN shows that he has learned something by making some good hires this off-season and delegating the correct authorities.
