Of course it takes the votes and they will never get the dems. But he and repubs support it. Why we see the strictest abortion bans in the reddest states and vice versa for blue states.
Actually i do appreciate a politician having convictions. We need it in politicians and Nikki actually showed some. A politician state their convictions and the country votes on it. Same goes for Dems.

    Maga mindset on abortion....
"Direct democracy should not exist. Case-in-point: Ohio legalizing the slaughter of babies. It would be an act of courage to ignore the results of the election and not allow for the murder of Ohio babies. We are probably 10 years away from this opinion being acceptable though." Repub North Dakota State Representative Brandon Prichard

First, I have never heard of this dude, so a North Dakota state rep doesnt carry a much weight. But I get his convictions, but we live in a democracy and cannot ignore what the voters voted for.
The only thing we can do is keep trying to influence the voters' thoughts and hope they see it differently.

Why should just the woman go to prison?

Because republicans consider only them to be chattel slaves of the patriarchy.

Should the woman go to prison (with doc, nurse, father if he aided)? Not rhetorical, would like to know.

Obviously not a response to the question. How long should the women go to prison for having an abortion?

Correct which means you won’t actually get pregnant until a couple of weeks later, and you won’t know you are pregnant until the start of the 5th week.

It’s a life with no voice, no cognition, no brain activity, no thought, no pain and no functioning heart or circulatory system. But yes you are killing it.

They want to lock up the woman getting the abortion, the MD and other medical staff that performed the abortion, and if need be anyone who helped get her to the clinic (especially if they crossed a state line to get there). Criminalize the living hell out of it. Nice plank to have in the party platform.

No there isn’t. There is a potential human life. It’s no more your business than it is mine. It’s the woman’s choice with consultation with her doctor and whoever else matters. Small government republicans, you don’t see the oxymoron here do you.

Does have hands though! Oh, and look they almost look like human hands, not a blob of cells.

Yes. In fact, you'll see some references to fetal age instead of gestational age to take that into account. It is generally 2 weeks less.

I am talking about earlier term embryos. What are the ages in this pic?

The fact that there is tissue in the form of hands and feet to me is generally irrelevant.

FTR, I am not denying that there is a moral cost to terminating the life of an early embryo, and shouldn’t be taken lightly, but in all things in life there are offsetting tradeoffs, sometimes that supercede the sanctity of life.

A LOT of Republican women would probably join me in disagreeing this redonkulous assertion.

I don't know. But I'd like to think somewhere between going to prison and getting high fived for killing a not yet born baby, there ought lie something that neither destroys the abortive mother, but also doesn't amount to tacit approval of a barbaric practice.

    Well Thanks!
That is the first admission of any on the prochoice side that there is a moral cost.

It's literally Less the doctor's business, than the baby's.

I'm thinking a Guardian ad litem or similar such advocate, to advocate for the unborn, before submission to the baby blender.

Hey, that's less than Hell.

(....but of course, we must pretend ain't no such thing...).

But hell or no hell, it's less than the sentence imposed on the not yet born baby.
