It’s the money and we are allowed to spend it now. Wow, we can recruit again. Will we pay a receiver when we can’t protect our qb, I dunno.

Yeah McCord has only thrown TDs in 2 of 4 games this year and they were both against small schools Youngstown and western Kentucky. Revievers definitely not getting the ball much so far this year. He really struggled vs P5 schools.

What is? That OSU gets the second best recruiting classes... and yet they never win the Natty with that talent? They are huge underachievers.

Smith should come to Gainesville and be "the man" on our team... with Lagway leading the way. What's so "horrible" about that? Because... this is what I am saying...

    Ohio State = big stats

They are not going to win a championship, especially with Day.

Only 1 team can win the natty every year, and that's typically been a team that recruits even better than they do. Nevermind the fact that we haven't even been close to making the playoffs, whereas they've been like 5 times (winning the first). It's just a terrible attempt at a dig.

And then there's the fact that OSU receivers are basically household names (Harrison, Egbuka, Olave, Smith-Njigba, etc) while most casual football fans MAYBE know about Kadarius Toney from UF. UF hasn't had a 1000 yard receiver in the last 20 years, and only like 4 players have even come close. OSU had 2 last year, 2 the year before, and 1 in 2018.

Only a fool would think them falling short of a natty is a negative lol. If Billy and Lagway pull that flip off they each deserve a boatload of cash, because Hartline has been the premier coach at developing WR talent for the last several years.

You should be ashamed for saying something so ridiculous that it caused me to defend the bucknuts.

completely agree. and you didn't even mention garrett wilson, the reigning nfl offensive rookie of the year. i love the gators and dearly want smith to join the class. but recent track record, it's not even close

I feel like OSU is in a holding pattern when it comes to football... and we, The Gators, are catching up little by little. But The Gators will be getting a huge boost with next year's recruiting class... and Smith is the type of player that puts The Gators over the top.

You mean to tell me our quarterback isn’t even paid for yet?!? How we expecting to get talent like Smith if our qb is only on layaway???

Not gonna argue those stats because they have done VERY well with receivers, (albeit with a Heisman level QB , that of which they do NOT have this year) but if I'm being honest none of that will matter if they can't find a way to beat Michigan. That's how serious that game is to them. Not saying it's right or not but Coach Day may not last too long if he can't start getting over that hurdle.

Off topic a bit but SOS is defending Lou Holtz.
They have been friends and allies for years.

I seem to remember that Spurrier helped Lou Holtz when Lou's wife was sick. I think the Holtz's stayed at Spurrier's house while she was receiving treatment.

Don’t recall the Spurrier house part but do remember she was getting cancer treatments at Shands. She had a very long battle.

I think UF will get another top WR and Smith is in that mix.
