My ONLY issue with this take is that literally every time we've thought this prior to a game, our defense went out there and gave the opposing QB a career day. Think Barnes, Rattler, Beck, and Jefferson. None of them had such great success throwing the ball during the year until they played UF. So... yeah. Need to see it before I believe it. But I like your optimism. I just have very, very little of it with this defense. We are really bad. And not only that but we're injured too. Doesn't smell good to me no matter who their QB is - especially if they just want to line up and shove it down our throat ala UK & UGA.
That's really optimistic. I just don't see this team playing a disciplined mistake free game. I see us laying an egg like we did in Utah. I'm afraid it'll be ugly. Pains me to say that!
All they need to do is get to 3rd and 22 and then toss a 30 yard gainer to the wide open guy in the middle of the field. Or just bowl through our exhausted defensive line for a 30 plus yard gain.
Nussmeier would start at most schools and he did actually start before Kelly arrived. He played against Georgia in the SECCG last year when Daniels went down in the 2nd quarter and guided LSU to 3 scores in 50-30 loss.
There is no quit in this Gator team on either side of the ball! Being a young team they have had the experience of winning on the road. I believe we can win this game! For those of you saying Billy needs this win to keep his job. Get real! Billy ain’t going no where for the next five years and I am happy about that!
