Sounds like fun! The NBA must have at last hired a Director of Semantics. I won't have to waste time making silly arguments to amuse myself until Gator hoops tips off.

I'm trying to login to the app and it's asking for an annual or monthly plan. Is there some kinda Jedi mind trick involved with the process?

I have an ESPN acct with a different email address than the acct we use for Youtube tv. I wonder if I need to cancel the Espn acct first and then login using our provider acct.

You’re probably hitting the espn+ feed. Make sure you choose sec+, then you log in with your service provider credentials.

You should be able to sign in with your providers details (your cable company, or YouTube TV, for example)

Once in ESPN app, you'll likely see game as on both ESPN+ and SEC+.

    Chose sec+ as it's free

Log out of the app and log in with YTTV credentials. Might need to clear cache and/or restart app in between.

Yep - I was trying to access through ESPN+. SEC+ appears to be doing the trick. Thanks all! Phew . . . wouldn't wanna miss the first game with our new guys.

Shouldn’t have to do all that. I had to log back in this time, but I went straight to the sec+ feed for the girls game and it put a code up for me to log in with my ipad. Whole process took less than 60 seconds. Open app, find feed, log in, watch game.

Just like in pick-up. Every shot is a one point shot. In warm ups I would sometimes drain a bunch of NBA three pointers and one of the guys asked why I didn't take that shot playing pick-up. I told him it was a stupid shot in pick-up because it counted the same as a lay-up.

If you have paid espn account then no, you shouldn't have to log out. If you are logged in under free espn account then you need to log out and log in under provider if you have one.

I don’t know what the free account is. What do you get with that?

I’ve never had to do anything like you said. I log in with my service provider credentials. If I haven’t logged in a while, it will make me log in again, but if I just go straight to the game I want to watch, it asks me to log in right there before it take’s me to the game. My brother logged into his espn+ account last time he was here and that has stayed logged in too, so right now I’m logged in two ways with different credentials.

Either way, sounds like he got where he needed to get by just selecting the correct feed.

The free account is just for tracking teams and preferences I think. My Fire TV ESPN app logs me out after a period of time so I have to log back in with my YTTV every now and then. Or it could be a Google thing logging out of unused apps.

Yeah, I think I got an ESPN acct years ago to participate in a March Madness bracket contest. At any rate, I was able to get in and access SEC+. Thanks all!

Well, now that our dumpster fire of a football season is over, thank goodness for basketball. Looking forward to a different type of success. ;)
