Seems like we've given credit on pushes before...am I dreaming? How many points do you need above the spread?
What was it like 2 seasons ago RealtyGator added "push" games to make it a bit more realistic to vegas books?
I think that's right. It's just being true to the game. Otherwise, you have to choose which way to add a half point and that can potentially manipulate the way of things.
A push is treated here just like in Vegas, no points are gained or lost on the bet. As for the additional ".5", that is a relic from Panels Past when the scoring was complicated and couldn't handle a tie...

There's been another mistake in the scoring for me. I began the week with 1032 The Ole Miss game was a push- no points. I took Mizzou +50 (gain of 45 after the vig.) I took Ok State +50 (gain of 45 after the vig.) I took LSU -100 So a net loss of 10 points. That should leave me with 1022. Thanks.
I have the highest pt total of anyone under 1k (i.e. a net negative). Hey . . . I think that makes me "the Biggest Loser."
My two games were a wash but I went from 810 points to 800 points. The same thing happened last week (820 to 810). Am I overlooking something?
Yes, it's called the "juice" in gambling. For this contest, you win 90% of any play, so on your 100pt win, you earned 90 pts. We'll leave the juice portion for next week's lesson. It's mildly complicated.
