It’s Monday! Officially LSU week. Time to move on to the next game. An entire week to hope and dream about winning!

Foley had a lot of warts, too. Falling behind in the football arms race right when all the other SEC teams were pushing their chips to the middle of the table was a mistake that can't be minimized.

Unsurprising. They would be dumb not to take a look around if they think this thing is going South. If you think the sales job to get them to commit was big, just imagine the one they're going to need to get to keep them in the fold if the Gators get rolled the last 3 games.

True, but his overall record was far better than any other AD we ever had. His success encompassed many sports.

From Napier's Monday PC just now:

"You have to remain process oriented regardless of the result. It is easier to do when you're winning, but you gotta stay committed and focused on the process no matter the result."

    ARE YOU F-ING KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is exactly the mentality that is sinking us. To him success is a given or at least he wants to make it seem that way in order to avoid criticism. "Trust the process." Well hell man the process clearly lost the game on Saturday.

I don't think the man will ever get it. Too much tunnel vision to do what is needed. The process includes him as OC and no ST coach so how can we ever fix that when he himself says you must stay committed to it whether we win or lose.

Napier is obviously willing to die on the hill called "the process." Is the University of Florida willing to see that through?

Preaching continuity of playing time together being the difference maker and staying process oriented.

Players and coaches know best informed

like to have a few 3rd and medium back, screen executions

3rd and 13 with backup up. Statistically only 15% chance of success, so handoff was the right call.

    Nuss J is awesome

D missed a lot of assignments

    gotta get 11 out there.

seemed jovial or nervous smile. Drinks water constantly:)

I did not analyze how he held the water bottle

If we rely so heavily on analytics, how hard is if for the opposing team to know what the analytics say and just stuff whatever we try to do. That 3rd and 13 where he said only 15% chance of success so they run it with the backup in. Don't you think the opposing D coordinator knows those same stats and preps for the run? Maybe just maybe sometimes you gotta catch the other team by surprise and do the unexpected? This is why I don't think he is a good in game coach (no feel) but a great CEO type.

Personally I don't think any coach (short of committing some egregious offense) should be fired with less than 3 years of tenure minimum...and no mid-third year firings either. I see a lot of red flags too, but we shouldn't evaluate whether the "process" will work until the end of next season.

I thought Princely was actually respectful.

Normally, this kind of stuff would bother me. But now that the kids are paid, I'm less bothered by fans calling out specific players/plays. With $$$ comes accountability to perform.

BN on having 10 ST players on the field “Well, I think, look, we can do it better. It's pretty simple. Get 11 out there. Pretty simple.” Should been a follow up question “if so simple, why is it still happening?”

Florida is not a good team
2024 is where rubber meets road.
2024 recruiting class with that QB is where rubber meets road.
A few staff changes, Lagway being the real deal at QB and then all of a sudden boom!

    1. the 15% is NOT some universal probability. The % is a function of coaching. It is his responsibility to increase the percentage, not hide behind it.
    2. what is he comparing this to? What is the % chance that the handoff works esp when it is so predictable? Is 15% the highest chance of success, the lowest, what?
    3. what effect does such timidness & lack of confidence have on the teams' personality?

In sum, that is a horrendous & idiotic ans.

Is he actually getting analytics in REAL TIME? Like, as he is calling plays? Or was that a way to defend the decision?

If he is getting stuff like that during that game, I am very disturbed by that influencing playcalling. How can analytics account for the type of defense a team is running, momentum shifts, heart, etc?

It’s one of the reasons play calls are so slow getting in most of the game. Way too many cooks in the kitchen. They waste so much time. I can’t imagine a high quality experienced OC will want to walk in and be part of group play calling. It needs to be one guy, toss him the keys and let him do his thing. Don’t tie strings or tethers to him either.
