Based on what I saw in the Georgia-Missouri and Bama-LSU games, we have very little chance of beating either Missouri or LSU with the offenses they have. LSU's defense may be a little beat up but Jayden Daniels helps cover that up. All four of those teams play way faster than us. Sometimes, I wonder if we are trying to imitate a middle tier Big Ten team on a cold and rainy November day It's not all a talent issue either. All four of the mentioned teams are much better coached in all aspects of the game. I refuse to watch FSU just on principle but I'm not optimistic about that game either.

If you’re expecting next year to be 10 wins you going to be disappointed. Then Lagway as a rs freshman probably isn’t going to be the best year of his career.

#21 needs to be down to 380 or ride the bench. He vainly tried to grab the big qb, he wasn’t close enough so it was a light handed whiff. A liability! You can make him eat better but you can’t watch him 24/7. His weight is going to shorten his life and doom any NFL,prospects. Big miss in recruiting him. and as for a defense, with five dbs backpedaling 20 yards downfield, 2 lbs and a de trying to contain wide outs and te’s going wide, all the offense has to do is block the other two guys and the qb has all day to pass or just run by big boy and off to the races. with only three or four down linemen we have not had many sacks and no interceptions to speak of. Arkansas was not a great team but the made offensive adjustments before the game, new OC and ran to a two TD lead, I new we weren’t ready and playing conservative ball control this would give Arkansas the momentum in the second half to close out the win and guess what. Once again we were short of the other teams score. Our offense unless we are willing to throw to keep the running game a chance, we really don’t have much of a chance against anybody. since Coach Dan doesn’t want to give the reins on offense, we will see Groundhog Day results, over and over. Do something different, don’t wait till we are behind.
Florida has never won big time with a strong running game. We don’t get the OL that Ala/Ga/LSU gets, they win championships, we fight to be 500. Only teams that can throw downfield consistently and use the quick strike ability to gain the upper hand like Arkansas did, will we ever have a whiff of a championship. when was the last recruited five star HS OL have we been able to recruit and put in the swamp. We have to pony up for great Linemen. and yes, I am concerned where we are heading with this conservative offense. when you score trying to catch up, one mistake makes kills the pooch. Give up the reins to the offense!

Where is our S&C program with all of this blame? Or is it the youth of our D? Either way, it's getting frustrating to watch opposing RB's drag 2-3 defenders 3+ yards after contact.

How many years do you think lagway stays? He’ll probably bounce after 3 so we better hope his 2nd year is pretty good.

A strength and conditioning coach cannot make a kid 22 years old when he is 19

It was good to see Devin Moore steal a lot of Jalen Kimber's minutes. I think he will be a great one someday, if he gets more playing time. He made some mistakes, for sure, but this is a learning year, and you can't learn riding the bench. Hopefully it pays dividends the next two years. If our secondary isn't really good in 2024 and one of the best in the SEC in 2025, then maybe we need to rethink our secondary coach.

I think its reasonable to expect improvement next year...better record than a 5 win season and no bowl. ive always said its 2025 or bust for CBN but he can totally short circuit by delivering another sub-par season

He's way better than Toney... I completely disagree. Austin can improve. Toney is stuck being crappy.

    Go Gators.

It’s fine to expect improvement next week, probably not going to happen though. We will get to see this play out.

  15. This thread has taken a turn. I wonder what happened to the defense since September? At one point it was a top 15 defense. Now they are #44.

You would prefer to play with 13 players and have all formations covered. Oh I think we tried that earlier in the year

Come on wing, did you even read bullish’s post. You cant play against 5 wide in his base d snd not get killed although we are getting killed now.

Bad tackling makes everyone think they are are the next Tony D, Bob Stoops or Nick S. Hopefully, we have part of the cavalry coming in Jan.

We should petition the league for a special allowance. Due to our youth 13 players are really equal to 11. Please let us use 13. :)
