Yeah. I'm all for Lewis. His demotion is BS. He is not the reason for Colorado's problems

Chat GPT would be a better OC than Brian Ferentz.

Someone said because Lewis likes to use the RB from time to time but Deion didn’t like the ball not being in his sons hands. Jokingly.

Don't know about his OC abilities, but he can recruit. Especially South Florida.

CBN won't make a change. He believes in his process. Moreover, he IS his process.

To demote himself from OC would require him to go against everything he believes about coaching football. You all know how he reacted when Dabo changed his play call. CBN is going to do it his way, until someone takes away his whistle.

I don’t mean to be a major buzz kill, and maybe I’m not remembering accurately; but other than the Urban hire in 2005, when was the last time
UF hired anybody of prominent significance whether it be for HC or OC. I feel like we have a long history of thinking we could hire big names (hello Bob Stoops) but we always come up short or settle for less. Sorry for being negative, tough not to be these days.

Can you imagine how insufferable posters here would be though? Any series we didn't score would be some iteration of slamming Billy for taking the guy Deion demoted.

I'll believe Billy will hire an OC when I see it.

That said, our OC/play calling is NOT this team's problem, IMO. I'd like Billy to be a tad more aggressive, but overall our offense has been much better and pretty darn competent this year.

What we do need is to buy an OL. Portal, HS, whatever. Just pay the dudes and get them on campus. Without that, our stud RBs and QBs will look good but not great.

And we need a competent D. Too much to criticize here. Tackling. DB play.

And special teams costs us points every week. And in close games, like today, it costs us wins.

We could bring in the best OC in America next year. But if we don't fix the OL, D and ST next year, we're gonna have our FOURTH consecutive losing season (can't even believe I'm typing that).

I was hoping that we would hire Garrett Riley after last season.

    How about Kliff Kingsbury

Since we are dreaming…. Urban Meyer. It would get him back into the game, he’s not hurting for money and he wouldn’t have to carry the weight of the world on his back an thus give his esophagus a break.

Many of us have our doubts as to whether BN is capable of being a successful coach at this level. I have to believe BN is having his own doubts of being a successful coach at this level.

    This. All of this.

I’m glad you brought up the DBs. Unless I overlooked it, I have not seen any negativity towards the DB coaching yet receivers were wide open all day without a DB within 10 yards, early in the play too so not due to lack of pass rush. Is our DB coach not all that?

We can only hope that he is having his own doubts because if he isn’t then we are in for a hell of a long season next year.

Something weird is going on at Colorado, I've heard that several coaches plan to walk and talk once the season ends. I'll be surprised if Lewis is still coaching there in 2024. The demotion feels like its for something not football related.
