We did the same thing against SC on the 4th down conversion by Bordingham. Threw the ball 5 yards when 11 yards were needed, and got lucky that #8 broke a tackle. Those are great for completion percentage, but are not a high percentage way to gain yardage.

doesn’t mean it was because he was angry and loud or animated at a press conference. If that was the formula for winning games, Muschamp would’ve never lost a game.

went several series to open the second half where he never saw the field or just 1-2 snaps in first 3 series. He needs to be in the game.

i’m not focusing on what he did on the field win/loss wise, i’m talking about the culture he came in and immediately established within 3 years. Yes it’s easy to mold when you inherit a top 10 talent roster, as oppose to us, but there’s still the EYE TEST. Yes CBN doesn’t have Kirby in 2017 talent, but in two years and 20+ games worth of data, how many players from our roster last year have made significant jumps?

With a 6-6 record, I think you would get an early bowl game and not an extra month of practice.

At least this year, our best players won’t be opting out of our bowl game.

Tre Wilson needs to get 15-20 throws (or touches) per game here on out.

The UF administration did not allow the football team to recruit like every other football team. We could not use gray shirt / green shirt / blue shirt like everyone else. We forced the team to keep players for 4 years. We couldn't oversign. For multiple years we were well under the scholarship limit, like self-imposed NCAA penalties. Then factor in our outdated facilities. Opportunity appears in the form of NIL and UF fumbles that. Brian Kelly laughed at UF due to its policies and called them while they were flying home to decline the offer. The administration wasn't aggressive with helping the team win, what coach would want to come here? On and on and on.

To your point, I don’t think we have more than 1-2 2023 bonafide all-sec players on our roster

I think we had 3 on the preseason team and might end up with 1-2 on the post season team.

I thought Napier should have declined the holding penalty and let them go ahead and attempt the FG. If they hit it, you have ~52 seconds and a TO to go and win the game. Those 10 seconds the TO would have been huge at the end of the game.

Our usage of Wilson is weird. There’s been a few possessions where we seem to force feed him the ball and give him 4-5 touches in a row, and it usually results in positive plays. But then we’ll go entire halves without even looking his way.

And if the answer to that is that the defense puts more attention on him, why is that not freeing up other guys?

None of this means that the players can't be taught to tackle. We lost to Kentucky, Utah and Arkansas do you think any of those teams beat us because we give players 4 year scholarships?

Personally I think student athletes should get 4 year scholarships but I guess that's a thing of the past since they're not really student athletes anymore.

For the record I'm ok getting beat by teams that are just better than you. I'm not ok repeatedly losing to teams that are worse in every respect and have smaller coaching budgets.

I agree about coaching because i think, while CBN does need an OC to work around the OL limitations, they (the OL) is REALLY limited. Which to your point does go back to coaching/development because our OL is what the coaches recruited on the two deep (with a few leftovers from Mullen) and watch and decide is our best 5. This offseason whoever is the OL coach(es) in 2024 need a fire lit under them from a recruiting standpoint the same way Jay Bateman got one this past offseason. He only brought in one LB last cycle but now has 3 top 150 LB’s committed for 2024. Need our OL recruiting for 2025 to be ELITE…no exceptions

it is because he is not on the field. For example, coming out of the half, he played zero snaps on the 1st 3 and out. He played 1 snap on our second series and 1 snap in our 3rd series.

This is one of the heads Coach is wrong and tails Coach is wrong situations. Not you just a handful. I understand what you're saying. Taking the other side, a defensive stop and Arkansas doesn't even get a decent FG opportunity. I'd have done it the way Coach did, I think; but, again, understand what you're saying too. Will be interested in others weighing in.

Last year's bowl got us 8-12 practices and you saw how that worked out.

Then you must agree that seniors and other players that have no intention of coming back would only take those extra practices away from returning players.

Our defensive scheme is decent. I think an infusion of talent will help immensely. The offense is just a disjointed mess, very poorly coached.
