It just amazes me how Pearsall and Wilson disappear for like 2 qrts every freaking game.

This one was a game we should of not lost.

If we lose the next two games it will lead to 4 in a row and we will lose recruits, because a 5-7 season does not look like rebuilding to elite players.

 

Why wouldn't we want to make a bowl game? Last year's went swimmingly.

 

We WILL have a better team next year, but yes, the W-Ls will not show it.

Maybe the DC is too you and inexperience and over his head. He is just an early Millenial. Perhaps he needs a co-DC for next season. Didnt SOS demote Zook to allow him to gain more experience?

 

8 wins? I question whether or not we would even be bowl eligible next year.

 

You could almost argue the Tennessee game doesn’t count towards our won/loss, because Tennessee always loses to UF.

 

Even with improvement making a bowl game will be tough next season. As Bobby pointed out, Billy's in a tough spot now.

And watching Mizzou…that game is going to be ugly. Georgia who is about 100x better coached than the Gators is giving Smart all he can handle so far.

 

How do you not coach your team to stop the QB run when that alone was killing us?
I do question BN's coaching at a big time school with his coaching decisions which include on field, and coaching hires. Do we really need a young inexperienced DC? How do you play soft and just let the QB drill you with runs? BN has been given the sun moon and stars everything he asked for and we look like this.

Nah the problem has nothing to do with that. We're not hurting financially due to being over extended. The issue is that for some reason our administration keeps trying to catch the next Spurrier or Donovan not realizing that this is largely based on luck. Sure, try finding the next shiny thing a couple of times but after Muschamp, Mcelwain and Mullen (admittedly a proven quantity but only with much lower expectations of MSU) in football and White and Golden in basketball you'd think maybe they'd pay top 10 salary for a demonstrated top 10 coach. But no, they would rather take a shot in the dark to be the next genius AD and just pocket the $1m/year they'll make here before leaving if they fail.

I mean even LSU didn't pursue the guy, and why would they if Brian Kelly only costs $2m more? Why did we for $7m?

 

At least we lose in style

 

Reality is that we've gotta pull out some improbable wins next year. Otherwise the "noise in the system" will get too loud.

 

I’m wondering about S&C. I know there are some freshman there which aren’t gonna be big hitters, but some of these sophomores and juniors are arm tackling.

 

UF isn't an OJT job. I wouldn't keep him but I'm sure we are going to go ahead and make that mistake this offseason.
