This is exactly what I would have expected to see . . . in Finland. Those are some hard dudes.

 

I mean I'm shocked, shocked to see there are anti-Semites at these Palestinian rallies. Don't hear anything about stopping the Israeli retaliations.

 

A lot of young Muslims in that video who I can almost understand their perspective, historically inaccurate though it may be. But then, you see the more traditional bigots and anti-Semites showing up in that video. And, to be very clear, those more traditional American anti-Semites are from both ends of the political spectrum, not one or the other.

Yep. And lots of interesting history the two centuries prior. During COVID the wife and I caught an episode of Resurrection: Ertugrul on Netflix. The costumes and action sucked us in and we finished all 448 episodes. Subtitles taught us to be faster readers. Turkish cinema is known for such epic productions. The series was about pre-Ottoman conflicts in the region. End of advertisement.

Should never find amusement in anti-Semitic violence, but I confess to a brief chuckle

 

Everybody wants to make it so black or white. Few topics in life are black and white. There’s tons of shades of gray. To your point, we shouldn’t be conflating the protest of mass killing of civilians as “anti-semitism” and state this indicates a rise in “anti-semitism” in America. And I reckon there were lots of older people such as yourself who ranted about “jack hole ignorant college age kids” back in the late 60s. It turned out the “jack hole ignorant college age kids” had it figured out and legitimate cause for concern.

Police said he fell back and hit his head on the ground. An awful incident, to be sure and perhaps someone needs to be charged with his death. But that’s different than someone clubbing him in the head.
