You’re blind with rage right now. Not everyone that is protesting is celebrating Hamas. That is simply untrue. And no protests happened in the US before Israel had retaliated (I’m open to being proven wrong if you want to provide a link). I didn’t raise that point - he did. He used that specific point as proof that the protests in the US were celebrating the Hamas attacks. It’s untrue and you still agreed. Whether you think the argument is senseless or not.

 

It is unfortunate you insist on converting what people say to you into what you choose to perceive instead of what they actually say. It renders discussion worthless. Since you insist on changing what I say to fit your perspective instead of what I actually say, I see no reason to discuss this further. Believe what you want.

 

This is from London October 7. Multiple articles if one does a Google search. Authorities describing people celebrating the attack. Met Police step up patrols amid reports of people 'celebrating attack on Israel'. It certainly is comforting to suggest that the people marching are protesting Israel’s response on those early days. But, it’s not true. And in the early days, Israel’s response was to get control of the border and stop the intrusions.

 

And of course the Harvard students blamed Israel for being attacked. Met Police step up patrols amid reports of people 'celebrating attack on Israel'

 

And here are celebrations in Australia. With speakers who praised the attack. Just as simple Google search reveals multiple media outlets describing “celebrations.” Not protests of Israel’s response in those early days. ‘Sickening to see’: Celebrations of Hamas attack on Israel condemned

(My post was in the anti-semitism in the US thread, not this one - but yes clearly some are celebrating. The only point I was making is that some are not and it’s not fair to lump them all together. At which point 95 asked how that’s possible if the protests started before Israel retaliated - which simply didn’t happen in the US)

Anyone who is celebrating the attacks on Israel is disgusting and anti-Semitic. Not everyone who attends a “free Palestine” rally is celebrating the massacre. You act like there weren’t “free Palestine” rallies prior to Oct 7th. What were they celebrating back then?

I know you can’t wrap your head around it but there IS middle ground. One needn’t blindly support Israel or Palestine without equivocation.

 

I mean, its literally on their webpage. They are the largest Jewish civil rights org in the country. They also basically came up with "new anti-Semitism" in 1974 and included it as part of their philosophy. This is what an Israeli minister was saying in 1973:
