As I'm watching the video about Ohio State commit, number one wide receiver, five-star Jeremiah Smith attending the Arkansas game... The video showed Jeremiah pictured in the orange uniform when on campus, for what I would believe would be an unofficial visit or maybe it was official? I know he was at the Charlotte game. Say what you will about the black uniforms but recruits do like them and being a retired Navy Chief, I like the Navy core values being on the back of their jerseys (+ Integrity which I'm not sure which branch added that to the list) I have somewhere read That when the recruit takes a picture in orange it is someone who quietly already committed to the coaching staff and may have already been committed somewhere else... And of course I'm sure we can find pictures of orange recruits that went elsewhere, but since we're starting freshman at wide receiver, that has to look good for Jeremiah Smith.... Ohio State is undoubtedly WRU, but all those social media posts about most freshmen started would probably have been created for a few recruits to see... So has anybody else ever heard the orange uniform rumor, or is my mind deceiving me?
I moved this over to Awesome Recruiting so some of our members who really follow recruiting may be able to weigh-in.
Integrity is one of the Air Force core values…Integrity, Service before self, Excellence. Aim high, Gators!
It was a rumor about the all white unis and helmet that supposedly meant a player had silently committed. It proves to be not true,.I haven't heard anything about the orange jerseys
I don’t think the uniforms in the photo shoots matter. Seems like that whole idea started back when Mac was here and kids would do shoots in the All White Unis on OVs.
I think if JS was holding up a bank statement showing a 2 million dollar check deposit from UF, I would be more inclined to believe he's coming than say his uniform Photo shoot color.
Tongue in cheek I would like to think that a uniform color during a recruiting visit photo op is a "tell" but I don't buy it for 1 second. Cash on the other hand (or should I say "both hands") in JS's case may be a bit more convincing.
I can’t help but think of that movie anytime someone mentions the Air Force. Thank you to all who have served this great country and Go Gators!
I knew an NFL player who will remain nameless who had a 7 figure bonus check on the dash of his new Escalade once. I remember looking at it and crying. Lol
