I agree but Hamas will never disappear. In fact, their numbers will far exceed the numbers before October 7th in just a short few months. Israel already proved this 3 or 4 times because they created Hamas and Hezbollah when they marched into Lebanon and the West Bank. There are nearly 2 billion Muslims worldwide to replenish their ranks.

Do not disagree that you cannot physically destroy the ideal. However, you can make darn sure that the weapons, the hideouts, the electronics and the communication access and support is 100% destroyed and and set them back a decade or more.

I can understand this position- pre- October 7. Afterwards, it’s difficult to maintain. Impossible for me.

Agree 100% in this time frame but hopefully we can return to recognizing Palestinian rights. I'm not sure when that will be or what must occur, although they remain relevant even in terms of discussing how the war is prosecuted. The underlying Justice of the cause remains, especially in the West Bank.

    Let’s be clear and honest
If there were large groups of students acting this way towards Black students.. ripping down posters of those that’s ere kidnapped, chanting for their genocide, championing the KKK.. our country would be in a fit calling for the racists ignorant people to be doxxed, cancelled, shamed.
If large groups started protesting how Mullins countries treat women, how they have no tolerance for other elisions, how they support terrorist organizations
This country would call them racists, ignorant, imperialistic
But let it happen to Jews that were murdered in their sleep, attacked by cowards preying on innocent civilians and all of a sudden we need to be understanding. It’s not racism, not antisemitism.. just foolish ignorance.
No it isn’t. And we need to start treating like we treat racism toward other groups.

FYI, this is in France, but Russia appears to be trying to foment existing anti-Semitism

Sort of eliminates Russia’s self professed justification for the war in Ukraine— defeating Nazis— doesn’t it?

There is also evidence that the Kremlin deliberately incited the Dagastanis, who are anti-Putin, by spreading a rumor that the Kremlin was going to forcibly resettle Israeli refugees there as "punishment" for Dagastan refusing to contribute further troops to the Ukrainian war effort. That was why they were looking for a so-called plane full of refugees.

That doesn't excuse the reaction of either the Dagastanis or the woman from Moldova who painted on the Stars of David in Paris. Like here in 2016, the Kremlin knew how to work with pre-existing hatreds.

So in my mind, I don't excuse people who engage in gross misconduct like that just because they were incited by a rumor. That is the story of pogroms and their predecessors throughout Europe throughout history. But it does make Russia especially culpable for deliberately trying to stoke hatred and create incidents where real people get hurt.

Uh...I know this off topic, but Moldavia has not existed for over 175 years.

Interesting. Not sure why they chose that. I know I have heard the region referred to repeatedly by that name in discussions of the Ukraine War

The region was known as the Principality of Moldavia for nearly 500 years, but sometime in the late 1800's the land was broken up between Yugoslavia and and Ukraine. The area between eventually became the country/state we now call Moldova. I am not a history nitpicker, but have family on my father's side from that area so I have looked this up before.

We should bring back Bessarabia too (or is that the same thing as Moldavia?)
