Are we ruling out a CBS double header? A night game in red stick is an almost certainty. If it's not the CBS double header night game at 8, then it will be ESPN at 7.
This was my first time to Kentucky this year and I was surprised with how many people had Gator hater shirts. I get wanting to beat us but wasn’t expecting that level
This is the most accurate way to put it. Prior to Spurrier, for most teams other than UGAG and FSU / Miami, we were just another SEC team on the schedule. After Spurrier, and a decade of beatdowns mixed in with some rub it in your face comments to go along with the 50 points, it tends to leave a bad taste in fan's mouths. And fans have long memories.
Gators are unique in that they have several conference rivals as well as 2 major in state rivals. I can't think of any other school with a similar situation.
Yes. CBS is using up their last SEC double header this weekend for UGA/Mizzou and Bama/LSU. The only options for time/channel are those in the OP. And I believe us getting the CBS 330 slot is very unlikely.
Eerybody hates the Gators! Kentucky won this year but it is the last win they will have against the hated Gators! Nothing would please me more than to go into LSU and beat them and watch them throw shoes at BK! I think fsu is ripe for the plucking! Nothing would please Gator nation more than to send them back to Tally with a loss! They would hate us for a thousand life times but what Gator fan cares about that!
I suggest that you change the word might to will. A small percentage of their fan base will start drinking three or four days before game time. An even larger percentage started drinking a week before the season opener. Look for what could be the loudest fan noise to be created in that stadium.
nothing has been announced yet, but with Ole Miss and Georgia both winning yesterday, you can be sure that it will be the CBS game. Had Missouri or LSU won, it might have been different, but my guess will be Tennessee at Missouri at 7 and Florida at LSU at 7:30 on SEC Network.
I went to my first and only LSU game in Baton Rouge in 1989 with a guy from work whose family were big LSU boosters. I was the only Gator fan sitting amongst about 10,000 crazy LSU fans on about the 45 yard line, half way up. I believe we were up by two and LSU tried to kick a field goal to win the game. From where I was sitting it looked like the kick was good and the crowd went crazy. Then, I saw the referee waving his hands that it was not good. So, I jumped up from my seat and screamed wahoo or whatever. At that point, the LSU fans threw everything they had on hand at me; cups, ice, drinks, etc. My friend grabbed his LSU jacket and told me to wear it because he was genuinely afraid that I may not make it out of there. That happened to be Galen Hall's last game. I remember driving back to Florida and hearing the news that he was fired/resigned. It seemed so strange that it would happen right after a big win.
We owe them one in Death Valley after what they did to us in 2020 at home. Hopefully someone on their side throws a shoe this time.
